Hello!!!
I have buyed my receptor just 1 month ago, and i have a question.
I suppose i can connect my midi keyboard via usb (I just have connected via midi cable)...but...if i buy a USB powerd midi keyboard...can I cannect it to Receptor and work with this keyboard with no external power suply for the keyboard? Can Receptor power a usb powered keyboard?

Hello jerozgz,

Yes - you can power and use a USB keyboard - for most USB keyboards/controllers. The key is that whichever USB device that you use, it must be a "class compliant" USB device. Many/most USB keyboards are class compliant, but a few earlier ones are not. Check out other threads in this forum - many people have confirmed their devices as working or not.

For me, I've used the Emu XBoards and M-Audio Axiom controllers via USB without any problems.

Not all boards will be able to se the USB power, though. My Axiom 61 does just fine, but I had to power my M-Audio Prokeys88sx, USB couldn't handle it. But it would still connect fine.

finally, I've got the Esi Keycontrol 25 XL, and everything is perfect!!! and of course, it works without power suply (works via usb)
