2 patch/preset questions...

i know i am being a bit lazy here, but i thought i'd tap the knowledge base here before diving in...

first, my zebra patch folder is a real mess. i want to reorganize everything, but i am wondering if this will mess up older song files. i assume the actual patch info is stored within the host (Live & Logic), so moving patches around shouldn't hurt anything, correct?

second, is there any other way to convert .h2p files to .aupreset other than actually re-saving them from within zebra/u-he plugs? i am slowly leaving Live behind and moving to Logic, and i am not looking forward to converting all my patches (mostly the commercial ones) to the Logic-al format. anyone hack together a little converter app to do this yet?

You don't need to convert the presets. The .h2p format works just fine as long as you do all your patch work inside the plug-in rather than using the host format. That's the beauty of it -- it's platform-agnostic. And it's much more efficient in terms of file size than the .aupreset format. Plus, it seems it's scriptable (not something I've investigated personally yet) and .aupreset is not.
