I know its not not a dedicated VSTI, but here's a cheap (£3.00) & cheerful Kontakt Solina sampleset from www.sampleism.com with some nice extras: its velocity-sensitive, the mod-wheel brings slightly detuned samples for a tasty, per-note flanging effect, and after-touch brings in a bit of tremolo.electro wrote:Looking for a dedicated ARP Solina VSTI emu.
mp3 demo and web page.

We have just released a new
Solina String Ensemble
sample library w/Presets, where we sampled all original Presets and each note for a close to the legend sound.
You can find an audio track on the concerned product page here
http://www.backintimerecords.de/bitr046.htm
There is also the Vintage String Ensembles sample library w/Presets.
Both are expansions for the Evalon II VST, also compatible with any other ws4/5-engine VST.
Best regards
Julia

The String Synthesizer for Algo Music does Solina sounds for a great price=$0. Definitely worth checking out.

Also free (and great) is the Big Tick Cheeze Machine.
http://bigtick.pastnotecut.org/index.ph ... &pcode=110
Between those two and the others, you should have all your favorite Solina sounds.

It has frequency dividers.electro wrote:It should be an easy VA to model cause it doesn't have a filter. The only challenge is to get the Chorus right.
Don't really know how hard/easy to model them.
May be someone has an idea how hard is modeling of such things?
Murderous duck!

it's very hard, as the master pulse osc of which the osc's are divided from has to be tuned to around 2mhz (!) ... up to now i've yet to see a decent stringmachine vsti. samples cannot nail it, see the thread called "roland vp330 strings" right on the first instrument forum page ... i explained it there ...david.beholder wrote:It has frequency dividers.electro wrote:It should be an easy VA to model cause it doesn't have a filter.
