Upgraded Software Install Capability???

OK, the Pro 2 and Pro 2 Max hardware and upgrades are available - awesome. Now, the burning question of the day is: what software can we install on those beasts? Has there been any improvement in this area over "regular" Receptors, or is this primarily a hardware upgrade? Can I finally install Toontracks Superior Drummer 2.0, or any other previously-uninstallable premium s/w? So far all I seem to find is that the new units will handle various copy protection schemes - which doesn't say anything about the "installability" of the software protected by those schemes.
Could someone from Muse please let us know what the scoop is on the installation capability of the new hardware? And, if there has been an improvement, is it tied to the new hardware or can we just update the OS somehow without hardware updates?
Thanks.

OK, I just shot off an email to Muse Research to get an answer to this question. Will report back here if Muse doesn't beat me to it.

Hi,
Thanks for the inquiry. The latest Receptor compatibility information can always be found here:
http://www.plugorama.com/customer/home.php?cat=2
and here:

New plug-ins are being added every month. For example, in the next few weeks Receptor will be compatible with Omnisphere and the new PLAY Engine from East West.
Hope this helps.
Chris

Chris, thanks for the update. (although I think he was more interested in the concept that Receptor 2 or Pro uses a more advanced OS than the original versions. And I am assuming the answer is, they use the same OS, so the difference is in speed and capacity, not compatibility.

Yeah, it really doesn't answer my question, except possibly in the indirect way that thesoundsmith alluded to; that is, there's little or no improvement. Hopefully I'll get a more detailed response to my email to Muse Research, but I'm not holding my breath. By the number of people viewing this thread, there seems to be a high degree of interest in the topic. It'd be nice to get a more solid answer from Muse.
Man, normally I am so darn easygoing, but this just really frustrates me. My 1/2-year old Receptor Pro won't allow an install of the everyday VSTs that I want to use (which is nothing outlandish), I have no idea if it ever will, and I have no idea if investing an additional $1300 to upgrade to a Pro 2 Max will help either.
Sorry for the slight rant. Sort of.
