Volume has been decreased abundantly, arguably the problem is the buffer size.

The machine is not able to play just truepianos "alone" with a buffer set to 264, I have to increase latency to 11,61 ms to play it; enough to play piano?!
Don't know, maybe yes, maybe not, maybe it depends on what u're playing.

But in my opinion this shows the very low performace of the machine!

that is correct,

Also, you will find, that sometimes larger sample based libraries (even truepianos) may play better with an actual USB2 HDD then Flash drives as access times can be faster, many of the USB drives are very slow. so make sure you use USB2 High speed drives.

I am not sure what your settings are, but we know of many users running Truepianos.

I'm running the new Pro Solovst (Arp ProSoloist Clone) without a glich, just install without a wizard.

If you have a VST plugin for an effect sound, then just enable the L and R on the channel it is in, on the VFX software.

I've definitively foudn the solution and is...I cant play truepianos!

I'm gonna explain why.

The bank is with truepianos itself, I did use your default.fxp file, volume has been set very low, tried with buffer size to 256 and 512 (1024 is too much for me), but I get digital clipping.

Please do this simple test:

hold the sustain pedal, play a chord with two hands (just five notes!), play that chord (always holding the sustain) 1-2-3-4-5 times increasing the velocity, and "like magic" u get the clips.
Increasing the number of chords I can see the CPU meter reaching the top.
Since I've upgraded the RAM to 1gb (the maximum possible nowadays) it's becoming obviuos to me that the problem is the CPU.

If anyone is able to pass the same test, please, explain me how you did it.

thanks

TruePianos does run on the V-Machine, but you can't actually "play" it.
If I'm not wrong, we're talking about musical instruments here, so it's not important that they just work, they should also play. :)

The CPU isn't fast enough to give an acceptable polyphony in TruePianos, but I received a mail from Roel De Witt saying me that they're working on a "lite" version that will hopefully be playable on the V-Machine.

And now... a bit of selfish spam: anyone had a chance to try Key Performer on their V-Machines? Maybe the piano sound isn't as good as TruePianos, but you can safely play up to 56 notes without worrying about latency, cpu glitches, and audio clips.

It's funny to know I've bought it just to put my VST in a safer place...

Just for reference are you playing it from the internal flash or external USB drive?

I've tried from the internal flash and from the usb stick. The result is the same! :(

which USB stick did you use? is it a USB1 or proper USB2 high speed stick.
Or even a proper USB2 hdd.

I run it from an external HDD, and really without any problem.
