Is the forum of the Encyclopaedia Metallum, http://www.metal-archives.com/board/ there you go. Just a warning though... the forum is full of black metal "kvlt" elitists, so be sure to wear your anti-crap helmet.
Ah, those "frozen castles of the northern abyss" corpse-paint types.

I'll check it out; thanks Venomeza.

That is a treat vespers75. I think the 2 styles are complimentary, and there is a kind of sonic cohesiveness to them - they share certain fizzy sound, and the loud clash noises anticipate the coming blasts well, too. Good stuff 8)

Thanks ouroborus...the kind words are indeed appreciated. This is actually the first time I posted a track myself here in the cafe, even though I've been a member here for 3 years. I guess I expected people here would dislike my stuff. I posted this one here being it was written for Justin, and I figured I'd share it with KVR, which he is an important part of. I'm glad that some people are enjoying it though! 8)

Yeah, most metal boards are full of whiney kvlter-than-thou teenagers, which is why (with the sole exception of DFFD) I avoid them like the plague. Metal-Archives is particularly bad in that regard. Not quite as dire as the comments section at Blabbermouth, but it's still a bit too much like a schoolyard over there for me to bother with. If you ignore the idiots in the reviews section, the actual archive itself is an insanely useful resource, though.

The archive is awesome, the only bad thing about it, is that it now seems more like a black metal archive that a general metal archive. I suggested that forum to vespers because when I was a poster long time ago, good new material that was posted there always got praised by most of the community.

Finally got a chance to listen. This is an excellent track. I'm looking forward to hearing more in this vein, maybe the two styles can merge even more as you get into it?

Thanks Steve! Yes, indeed that is my intention...I plan on blurring the lines between the two styles further on some tracks to come. I want to make sure that the tracks fit well together in sound and concept as well, and would like to make them an actual 'release' of some sort. For this one, I wrote and recorded it in 2 days time as I wanted to get it done to send with the tracks we all did. As such, I rolled with it quickly...some ideas will likely be developed further on some of my newer stuff.

Of course. Wasn't a criticism, I actually would like to hear how the two styles integrate.

Oh, I know man. 8) Just saying I agree, I want to expand on the concept further, having the styles overlap more simultaneously, or having it jump from one style to the other several times in one track. Or both of course. I think there are some excellent creative possibilities in bridging the space between the genres.

Well, please stop that (er, start?). I'd love to hear more of this kind of thing myself. :)

Excellent track- I don't really listen to much metal of any variety these days, but if I knew of more stuff like this I think I might. Love the guitar- both the sound & the playing. The intro bit is great, too.
