Hi,

folks who might be looking for a decent piano may want to try the Safwani "General Piano" Plugin its free and not too bad. I have had good luck with Sample Lord. Its hard to max the V machine out with samples. Although it seems there is a cap on the size of the samples you can load (around 150 meg). BTW I have only been playing Samples from a 8 gig usb drive. Since I can only load about three instruments on the machine (Samplelord and Samples). The biggest problems occur when I try to use more than two vst effects per patch. Also you have to be careful with mixing effects from different developers. It would be nice to be able to start the V machine with the usb stick plugged in . Its a pain if you forget its in when you start and then you have to pull it out and restart. Especially if you are in a live situation and the power goes out. I have had no problem modifying the chunk files to accomodate the samples. But never thought I would have to do so much editing with this device to get it to work. It reminds me of my days using an old Ensoniq Mirage. Edit>Load>and Wait....
Perhaps someone could write an info file for The free Luxonix multi-effects vst. so I dont have to haul a bunch of pedals around like a guitar player. BTW kudos out to Ziokiller for the key performer vst. Its very well laid out. and sounds good. As soon as I have an extra $133 usd I will pull the trigger on it.Although I still have not been able to load the demo on the V. Great job Guido. From one player to another...Ps Im jealous about your NE3 I wish they would release those here. I would dump my Hammond XK3 in a second.

Peace,
JHG

I am a sad owner of a CME UF7 keyboard. Google UF7 USB driver and you can see the direction V-Machine is going.

I am going to buy the V-machine X0 series when it is ready and running, but I will NEVER be fooled again with the promises of updates and upgrades like SM-PRO is making.

I feel really bad for all you pioneers who have had to pay for the work which you thought had been done but you'll have to pay for again when the final product ships.

Sadly it seems that this company might go over before completing even the 1.0 stage of software.

It is really a shame, but what on earth are the developers thinking when they use months of time on Mac-compatibility before fixing the firmware of the unit to even save settings on closing?

Maybe next year. Hopefully.
I fully agree with you, dude :(

If you really want to see what support should be, check this out:

If SM-pro sells you a Beta-phase product, you should also get support that fixes things once in a while, not "in a couple of days".

I don't have an eeePC yet, but if someone has, it might be interesting to hear how it copes with Cantabile.

1. What exact type of cpu is in there?
2. Is the CPU actually upgradable, is it replacable? I've read somewhere in this thread that it's soldered to the board
3. If not, is there any chance to push it to better performance by an improved os and better wine in the future?
I'd like to know all these things too.

Because many users wanted the MAC version before saving settings on closing, we just go by user demand, I am sorry, but this week we will release this update as well as.

Various gui and functional fixes.

* Save overwrite confirmation on Windows

* App checks connected V-MACHINE's build number

* Global V-Machine state persists to disk

* Input gain save/load

* Select and confirm (so it will not automatically load a bank or a preset, you can select another bank and another preset and when you are ready hit the confirm button to load.

* Windows app has transparency

* 3rd party plugin V-Machine plugin support fleshed out (message popups, authentication, etc) Many other plugins will now work.

* Plugin MIDI chaining. so you can run MIDI plugs (arpegiator, splitters etc)

* Importing plugins from stick correctly detects already imported plugins.
At the moment importing the same plug twice causes an issue, so this is resolved.

* Only internal plugins ever get deleted.

There will be a CPU board upgrade, it is an industrial grade board so the CPU is soldered, but we will offer in the future (I am not saying exactly when) a new CPU board upgrade will be available.

That's a good news!

Anyway can't you anticipate something neither tentatively?

You know, I mean that's a very important upgrade in my opinion, are we talking about weeks, months (   ), years ( :bang: :bang: :bang:)???

You (of SMPROAUDIO) told in this trhead in december that an update would have been avaiable in a couple of months....but we are at the end of march, and still nothing...

thanks

I guess I could have put the link for that up ...the one that is posted above works for me. Also I misspelled the developers name . Sorry about that also his goldentine rhodes vst is not bad ...a little bright. Hopes that helps.

Best regards

What is the implication here? Will we, the mac users, now have to wait again for months to receive what you promised already months ago???

Let me recap. Windows version did not improve for weeks. Why? Because Mac version was expected for December and had to be "finalised". What? Mac beta is out, but not working what I would call somewhat reliable at all.* Now, since Windows users shout loud again (for very good reasons), Mac users have to wait again "two weeks" (note: this is sarcasm ;-))? Unbelievable.

Hell Jesus. I never ever experienced this kind of crap when I bought anything. I already requested a return from my dealer (unlucky guys there, they are suffering as well !).

... and out !!!

*Please do not ask me why I did not open a ticket. I purchased a product for quite a lot of money, and I do not want to pay more, meaning wasting my time to fulfill YOUR obligations.

Hey a tip for the guys that are experiencing problems with the CPU maxing out: Test the VSTs you're using on your own PC and just watch how much the CPU spikes when playing it. Then calculate that as a percentage of 1Ghz. :-)

It is interesting to note, that every vendor at the NAMM show wants to get thier plugins working on the V-Machine, as they also can see the potential for this, including PianoTeq..
Hi VFXAU,
Any progress with Pianoteq?

Very nice Guido! Currently unemployed ...but as soon as I get back to work i will purchase key performer things are tough for my family right now. I have always been a fan of your software. And it seems like (as far as developers go ) you seem to understand the gigging keyboardist. BTW I love the aftertouch keybend on the ZD6 Demo vst!

Best Regards,
