An excellent sombre tome Vespers, i knew it was going to be my cup of tea anyway but mate this is a great piece of work. The dank ambience gives me a touch of early MDB i think (yeah not exactly BM as such but the mood they usher in as a black as it comes imho) and i could namecheck some bleak black metal acts/solo artists but i wont as it has its own sound and yeah good stuff man i really like it.

I like it but I think that when the metel bit comes in it doesn't really have the massive impact it should (i.e it's not jump out of yer seat). Mebbe you should mix the ambient part a few db quieter?

My Dying Bride, great band! I've followed them ever since As The Flower Withers. The just dropped a new album a week or two ago, For Lies I Sire...it features mostly clean vocals this time from Aaron, but they brought back the real violin.NEKRO.MACHINE wrote:An excellent sombre tome Vespers, i knew it was going to be my cup of tea anyway but mate this is a great piece of work. Yeah, it could've used more time in mixing stage, for certain. I wrote/recorded it from scratch in 2 days, and I mixed it rather quickly when it was done, as I was trying to get it finished fast. It could've perhaps used an additional 'percussive/impact' sample when the metal part comes in too. Thanks for checking it out, DT.donkey tugger wrote:I like it but I think that when the metel bit comes in it doesn't really have the massive impact it should (i.e it's not jump out of yer seat). When I have a spare hour or so I'll take the time to comment on each of these but in the meantime I have to say 'damn'!
This piece is really outstanding.

Thanks man...it was for you anyhow, bro! The title and lyrics revolve around my take on the hour of 3AM, and you might relate to the lyrics some. I'm no good at doing glitchy stuff like you and some of these guys are, so I had to do something the 'vespers' way.justin3am wrote:When I have a spare hour or so I'll take the time to comment on each of these but in the meantime I have to say 'damn'!

Pretty awesome!
I quite like when midway the 'beast' came out with the doubled vocals; that ending was a cool touch too.
(I just have too little time to check here these days, but glad to have caught this and some others)
