It's still in very early stages but thought I'd post it up anyhow, as always feedback is good

it doesn't work as an address in the browser either, so maybe it's a wrong address or the server is down?

It probably doesn't like "BMP" - that's an uncompressed bitmap. Try PNG or JPG.
But: Oooh, glossy!

going is slowish, just doing one or 2 elements a day, sometimes none. Like art It's stressful at the 'ol hacienda (crazy electrical problems, running cord from neighbor!), but it'll get there.
I'm thinking about doing a wood texture for the wood parts cause I think it would allow me to add some other nifty details with some transparency effects, but I kind of like the plastic type of look the plain brown gives. Any opinions on that?

I quite like the simplicity of the untextured look.

ok i'm back on this thing again, so this is where i'm at right now, endlessly trying out different formats for backgrounds and headers and windowframes and so on. I doubt i'll keep the background as it is there's too much contrast in the line colors to my eyes but I accidentally saved the title bar as my background so I just put that in there real quick. I'd like to do some kind of marble as the BG but I tried that and it didn't look right, it's too bad because I made a really sweet black marble texture. It just didn't fit right.
I'm having a little weirdness with a couple of elements though, the button for the part properties toolbox is not displaying (what you see is part of the background) and the little arrow to display a plugin on the racks won't show either. Any idea how this could happen?
