Hey. Iv bin trying to get robotronic to work with logic 8.
Bin reading the manual over and over again and i cant figure out what to do.
If i record an audio file, how do i make it use robotronic?
I can activate the robotronic plugin on instrument channels. If i record my voice it gets to the audiochannel.
Someone help the noob out?
Cheers!

Hello erich,
actually there are 2 ways to get what you want.
A: If you have a .wav file with your voice, you can load this file into Robotronic. Choose 'Sample Player' in the Modulator section (right beside the word Modulator), click into the empty square and a dialog to load the wav file comes up.
B: If you have your voice on a track you can route it into Robotronic via the sidechain menu (choose the track where your voice is). Then you have to choose 'Audio Left' or 'Right' in the Modulator Menu.
hope this helps,
Robert

If I want to use sidechain using the plugin EVOC PS, which is an instrument. I can just choose sidechain Audio 1 (where the track for my voice is) and everything will be good.
With robotronic im having problems understanding how to get it to work.
Robotronic is an effect not an instrument as i understand it. so I dont see how i can sidechain it.
Do i have to work around with the buses?
Also, when i add a .wav to robotronic the sounds get modified just like you said, which is great! But then i dont know how to record it down to an audiotrack.
Its probably me who just doesnt have enough skillz with logic to use your plugin yet.
Anyhow, i hope you can help me out!
Cheers

Hi Erich,
consider Robotronic as an instrument, or more precisly as an midi controlled effect. You have to plug it in an instrument track (like the EVOC).
Then you have the sidechain menu and you can play Robotronic via MIDI.
Hope this helps

Hi,
when Robotronic is plugged in on an instrument track (as midicontrolled FX)
you can use it with your midikeyboard automatically.
