I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced or knows if this is a problem?
I have the Receptor 2 Pro, and have it hooked to a furman power conditioner.
I noticed that when i turn on the power strip the receptor turns on for a brief moment says "initalizing" and then shuts down.
May i point out that i properly shut off the receptor every time before turning off the power conditioner.
I'm concerned that this may mess with the software of the receptor since its like a hard shut off every time it does this..
Any thoughts?

Hi, I had similar situation with Receptor Pro JR. Advice from Muse: do not use Furman or any other power conditioner
However problem was resolved by changing mainboard in my Receptor.

How can you have it in a rack without a conditioner?
What I'm wondering is whether this is bad for the receptor or just a side effect that really won't effect it long run.cause I can deal with it turning on and off. Maybe there is a software patch? Though it may be a firmware issue?

Yeah, I'm curious about this, too. If I plug in the Receptor into my power strip even at home, it starts "initializing" then turns off. Is this really a hard shutdown - or should this not occur? Never worried about it before......

I'm really wondering as well if it is a problem.. again i don't mind it doing it as long as it isnt hurting the device in the long run. But you figure its like a computer right? turning it on and then just jackin the plug when its booting...

I am experiencing the same thing on my Receptor 2 Pro. Perhaps someone from Muse will comment - or I suppose someone (or I) could just call tech support and ask. It would be nice to know if there could be potential harm to the unit. It is not just a Furman or power strip issue, mine did this just plugging it into the wall directly as well.
