Tell me about it, I have T-Racks 3 standard now as I got it cheap in the group buy (where else does anyone get I.K. stuff? ha ha) But when T-Racks 3 was first released I tried the demo and was nearly going to buy T-Racks 3 delux just for the Opto comp to use on my drums buss, but then I changed my mind at the last minute and spent the money on Superior Drummer 2, So the whole singles thing is perfect for me really, I'm very excited, If I can get the two delux comps for $100 in an Esounds group buy I'll be a very happy boy!Masr wrote:Ghaaaaash.... That opto comp is just amazing. Can't believe my ears - so unintrusive and musical.

Maybe. I might have spoken too soon. Let's say that I am TRYING to get a group buy together for that which would be more accurate. Whether I can pull it off or not remains to be seen. I am sure we will come up with something cool for the next group buy though regardless. It could be this or it could be something else. It's not up to me.
Either way though it's great news that these singles will be available. I mean, a Fairchild 670 model for $99 is a no brainer come on. The fact that all Deluxe owners get all of the singles too is pretty cool as well. For all the people that I see complaining about IK around here one has to wonder... how many companies do this? I think it's pretty cool... like Santa Claus!
I hope they sell so much that it supports the idea of continuing to do that because it makes it more affordable to more people and customizable that way. We're doing the same thing with sounds breaking up products like Ocean Way Drums so you can have drums that were in collections that previously cost $500-$1,000 for as low as $39-59 per kit. It still ends up being ironically a BETTER deal to get the whole collection but it gives someone a chance to get specific things they want for less without sacrificing quality.
You know the TR3 singles are also great because they are lighter on the CPU! So they really make sense from that standpoint as well.

Squids, do you happen to know what the latency will be on these? Particularly the Fairchild, Pultec, and Opto-Compressor?Squids wrote:You know the TR3 singles are also great because they are lighter on the CPU! So they really make sense from that standpoint as well.

I just returned from a TRacks 3 mastering class given by a very nice IK Multimedia Rep at the studio in the Palms hotel (impressive facility). He informed me that it will be a couple of weeks before we can expect the TRacks 3 singles to appear. So if you're like me and have been checking your account at IK's website every 30 seconds for the last few days you can give it a rest.lotus2035 wrote:Are we there yet???![]()

I learned even the Metering section will be available as a separate plugin so that will be nice to permanently slap on the master track. Looking forward to the singles, will allow the integration of the CSR Reverbs in the chain.
