you seem to be an expert on the subject. is it something you've studied, or are you just a gifted amateur?Rottweiler wrote: beeking a nitpicky smartass loser is homo too ,,l,,
An idiot on Set Theory:

It's an expert within a given area. First you're a "new bee", then a "moderate bee", and if you keep at it long enough you eventually become a "bee king" (sometimes abbreviated "beeking").vespers75 wrote:Rottweiler wrote: beeking a nitpicky smartass loser is homo too ,,l,,

Still living at your parents' house is 'weak'. But considering your horrid spelling abilities and pointless posts here, you're likely too retarded to live on your own.Rottweiler wrote:thats weak.whyterabbyt wrote:you seem to be an expert on the subject. is it something you've studied, or are you just a gifted amateur?Rottweiler wrote: beeking a nitpicky smartass loser is homo too ,,l,,

I don't think they are the same experience. The listener doesn't have to know, can't really know, what the composer has gone through. An analogy would be film making. The audience might appreciate an innovative, well-crafted film, yet have no idea what the experience is in actually making it. A new experience for both director and viewer, perhaps, but not the same one. I would say the same applies to "experimental" music.dirty oscillators wrote:i disagree, because how would the listener ever know what went into the composition or production of what they're listening to?eduardo_b wrote:But, for the listener, it may be truly experimental.

The fallacy being the existence of experimental music? I have never contended there's a genre of such music, because by definition it would exist outside of all the "non-experimental" genres. And, the process, for the listener, is irrelevant. It doesn't matter, any more than knowing what hardware was used in popular music matters to listeners. Not seeing a fallacy in the thread title, but rather a question, as noted clearly in the OP. The discussion is about what makes music experimental -- to composer, to listener, to musicologist.whyterabbyt wrote:the thread is based on a question which relies on a fallacy.
