Best Classic Electric Piano Sounds?

Scarbee is VERY hard to duplicate as its probably one of if not THE best epiano emulation out there. The only thing I can suggest is MRRay73 MKII from GSi Soundware.

These 2 imo are probably the best emulation wise. The only other suggestion would be to pick up a real Rhodes.

I didnt actually record any MIDI or save the file. I just played it live from ear and recorded the audio .. Just for you I replayed it again and this time recorded a MIDI track to boot.. Download the MIDI here..

That might be a big deal for brass and wind emulations, but hardly for proper keyboard emulations.

I disagree. There's lots of stuff happening while the different keys are held and interactions between them cannot be propertly sampled as a whole. A good physical model can nail those interactions to a far greater degree. This is especially true for piano, rhodes and wurly (resonances etc.), not to a high degree for hammond (leakage, tonewheel aging), and not so much for a clavinet (though there are some things you can do to it while playing, such as hand muting the strings, artificial harmonics, etc, with the lid open).

thanks alot lot. But I triend openig the file in sonar an fl studio and it seems to be empty. Could you try again? I would do it myself, but you are for sure a much better player than me

Without a doubt OTR-88 VSTi is the Best of all Electric Piano emulations. Even better than Lounge Lizard. When it comes to Musicians on a Budget but still want High Quality than MrRay73, MrTramp and 4Front Rhode are the way to go.

OTR-88 is THE WORST virtual electric piano I can think of BY FAR.

Here's my list:

Rhodes - GSi Mr. Ray Mk 1 (I don't own own the Scarbee Rhodes)
Wurlitzer - Scarbee EEP followed by Mr. Tramp

And Lounge Lizard 3 for more customizable electric piano sounds.

The lest realistic and most synthetic sounding (along with being ridiculously overpriced): OTR-88

BTW - I own a Rhodes Mark 1 and a Wurlitzer 120. When it comes to the Rhodes I'll often record with GSi because it sounds a LOT like my actual Mark 1 and I can edit the performance afterwards being that it's MIDI. The difference in sound between the two really is negligble in a mix IMO.

Now, as much as I like Mr. Tramp because it plays great, it doesn't have the bottom end that a Wurlitzer does and doesn't sound quite as realistic (it's 85% of where it needs to be IMO). E.E.P. doesn't suffer from this and is just a great overall Wurlitzer. I'm hoping Guido buys a 200A at some point and releases a Mr. Tramp Mk II.

Modartt (Pianoteq 3), GSi (Mr. Ray73 mkII), there are some other smaller ones that are not as good AFAIK.

+1 Mr Ray, Mr Tramp. For a different flavor electric piano (more DX7 than Rhodes), I also like GTG's EP 2008. Not in the same league as the commercial favorites, but it's a good freebie. Another good freebie is LazySnake.
