JV2080 Vintage Exp Pad
JV2080 Orchestral Exp Pad.....

Hey Rob, I had to drop you some kudos on these Sylenth1 patches mate....

I must say the "JV2080 Orchestral Exp Pad" is sounding mighty fine...

192 sublime preset sounds for Sylenth1 plus all these extras you've been throwing in on top, nice. You've got Sylenth1's sound designing "tenet" sussed(?).... :o

... B R I L L I A N T stuff mate !!!

Cheers,

Thx Lex

There will be another bank for Sylenth soon..All patches will be based on emulations of hardware gear..i also have an extensive library of samples on my trusty old AKAI S3000xl which contain multi samples from Kurzweil | Ensoniq | Emu Synths like Orbit so i'll be tring to replicate those aswell within Sylenth and applying Arps/Seq's to some of them.
Iv'e already begun on the banks as the 2 patches above shows what it will contain.
cheers
rob :)

I dont see any presets or banks with massive leads like the W&W stuff.
Maybe its something Rob or other people could make, i would definitely buy it :D

Here are same examples:
the lead in this tracks
almost all tracks on this myspace: http://www.myspace.com/rewardmusic
The track on the top of the player has some nice stabs and a deep bassline.
I was wondering if its possible to make such deep baslines with a vst, or are these
just samples !? (i think it has a lot compression with short release and open
attack).

I hope someone could help me with these leads :) or could make them in a new bank!?
I would buy it immediatly :P

Greetings,

Thom

I was considering buying Oddity but then thought Sylenth could probably do the same sounds and then some. What do you guys think?

Post

get sylenth1 for sure! they do have some similar sounds...but sylenth1 is WAY better to me.

the best part about it is how a rookie sound designer like myself can actually make the sounds in my head =)

oddity...too hard to me

Post

Iv'e never tried Oddity and i also try to limit myself to 2-3 synths anyways. If you want very close sounds of old vintage Roland gear then to me Sylenth is the one to buy.

Cheers, I own Sylenth already. Was more or less asking if anyone here'd be up for recreating some the Oddity/Oddisey patches (or even point me to a commercial patch library if there is one). I like the "older feel" of the Oddity (for lack of a better word) but not that it's only duophonic and that it's generally less flexible than Sylenth1 (I know it wasn't designed for this). Would be nice to have the best of both worlds.

hi i am working on a Sound Bank now which will Emulate old hardware synths like moogs etc..
i also posted 2 patches here the other day based on my JV2080 SRJV80-04 Vintage expansion board..they are at the KVR banks and patches area..
Download them free and tell me if they're your thing..It's all based on hardware the next bank.

great! definitely interested in that! i am still trying to make a really solid, nice round synth bass, like there are a few on the latest roots album (rising down), e.g. on the track i will not apologize (if that is a synth sound at all :-o ). would love to see what you can come up with :)

Yup I tried them an liked them. I'd be def. interested in a "vintage" minimoog/oddissey bank and your prices seem to be reasonable too ;)
