well here is the deal guys... I started this thread to have an honest discussion about what lies beneath the virus engine and how we can get closer to that sound cause they seem to be on the right path..

pdxindy wrote:Really, you are overstating it to call the Virus crap. It aint no Zebra but it is a solid synth. And if you really think it sounds like crap in comparison with Zebra, then use Zebra. You can get decent cash for the Ti.muadib wrote:when I play my zebra it sounds good, but then when I turn on my virus ti it sounds like crap in comparison...

Why is that? It's not exactly a bad habit to have.muadib wrote:really trying to kick my virus habit
I've had a brief encounter with the Ti Polar (ok... more than a few times now) and it's a pretty stellar synth.
That said though, I do find Zebra2 very satisfying in the sound dept (though maybe not as much of the wow-factor as the Ti). However, I'd take creating/editing patches inside of Z2 over the Ti any day.

Ok .
No instrument sounds as good as the one bought with daddy's money . If you spend 2500$ of daddy's money it will sound ten times better than the one you bought with 250$ of daddy's money .

Guess what buddy. I never said Zebra sounds like a Virus. I never said I want Zebra to sound like a Virus. I'm just sick of retards like you who spent way too much money for a limited piece of crap Virus coming around and starting "Teh Viruz Rulez" threads. Like your Virus? Fine, use it but you just come out looking like a sucker and a loser in my opinion.muadib wrote:
Well guess what buddy? Im the biggest virus troll there is and im sick of you softsynthers telling me its the same when its *clearly* not... i believe in people making good music using the b e s t tools available.. maybe you haven't heard the difference on say an outdoor turbosound or function or EV-mt4 rig... that is where the music comes to life..

Ok, this thread drifted away in the wrong direction, so ill try to direct it back. I would say the effects are better, the osc have random frequency change but only slightly so that they have an analog quality, and the unison stereo width is wider than the zebra. So I guess if you factor in this three thats why it sounds better.
