Hi,
Got a Receptor, a Behringer FCB1010 footcontroller and a midi keyboard.
My FCB1010 got the latest Uno chip. I'd like simply to change presets on my Receptor using the FCB1010, but my Receptor dosn't seem to play along.
cases:
KEYBOARD -> FCB1010 -> RECEPTOR
The receptor reacts NOT on any midi messages (midi recieve window is completely dead, nothing happens)
KEYBOARD -> RECEPTOR
The receptor plays like a dream. Notes and program changes works fine.
KEYBOARD -> FCB1010 -> PC w. LOGIC running
Logic plays like a dream. Notes and program changes works fine.
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Jesper

I haven't played with the FCB1010 doe a while, but I remember there being a soft thru sort of setting to make sure that the FCB MIDI in passes the to the FCB out without any changes, check the FCB1010 and Uno forums for specifics. Make sure that program change, MSB, and LSB are the correct numbers on the correct channels! Good luck.

I think you are on to something here... I've successfully used the FCB1010 with Receptor at multiple tradeshows, and when using it directly connected to the Receptor it works fine (assuming you can figure out how to program it, which is a bit of a mystery to this feeble marketeer!). There is very likely a "MIDI MERGE" mode you need to activate to get the MIDI from your keyboard to pass through the device and get sent to Receptor.nathankingcole wrote:I haven't played with the FCB1010 doe a while, but I remember there being a soft thru sort of setting to make sure that the FCB MIDI in passes the to the FCB out without any changes, check the FCB1010 and Uno forums for specifics. One thing is for sure: if there is no numbers showing up on the MIDI ACTIVITY MONITOR on the SETUP page of the front panel, that means there is no note info coming in to the MIDI port. You can also check the setup page using a monitor and it shows you the last MIDI program change received, and very often when people report problems with MIDI program changes it is because they are either 1) not sending the program change even though they thought they were, 2) they're sending program changes but not on the MIDI channel they though they were, or 3) they are sending MIDI program changes but have turned off Receptor's response to those changes in the MIDI Program Change menu.
I have never seen ANY 5-pin DIN equipped MIDI device not work properly with Receptor (USB is an entirely other world since unfortunately there are no universal standards for MIDI over USB, and many manufacturers ship products that are not "device compliant").
I really think this is a MIDI merge function issue... but please be advised I've seen some controllers (I think from M-Audio) that don't actually support MIDI merge on their controller even though they have a MIDI input. Strange, as that is the only logical reason to have a MIDI input in my opinion...
Cheers

The FCB will work for what you are describing (I have had success doing something similar in the past), you just need to get your settings correct. Play around with it, get the UNO manual, and search the FCB1010 and UNO Yahoo forums.

It's on page 7-8 in your manual
A minor scale is a major scale starting 3 half steps down from the major and visa versa. Any Chord has as many versions as it has notes.
