I'm sure it works with lots of other stuff as well. I only use Sampletank and VB3 for live-performances and this was just my way of trying to bring some more positive vibes to this forum.VFXAU wrote:why just sampletank sounds? just curious...janka wrote:The latest firmware update really made my day. The select and confirm-function makes it a live-tool at last and as long as you use sampletank-sounds only you can play the most amazing layers and use lots of the internal effects.
Not that i don't want the motherboard upgrade....

Have you setup a support question ? I have not seen it yet, as we would need to know operating system, computer etc...mon8169 wrote:As soon as I click anywhere the program freezes.VFXAU wrote:What is the problem? we had many users test this release before it went out so please let me know what issues you had.mon8169 wrote:Already installed the latest sofware, and...... it doen's work properly!!!!!! it hangs up!!!!

Danny,
you asked about the firmware upgrade. I LOVE the confirm/return question when i step through my vsts. there are a lot on my usb-stick. so i can choose my presets very well!
i hope, midi feedback works well too.

I just can't still understand the reason of that...VFXAU wrote:We already have all, just not allowed to publish by NI, maybe you can ask them as well.delafuerte wrote: Since the VFX should support now the authorization of most of vsti, have you planned to post new wizard files, for example, for Native instruments VST?

Midi Feedback should be fine as far as I tested it is ok, also Global save is in there.mäxchen wrote:Danny,

Hi Guys.
Got my V-Machine Thursday and I'm delighted with it so far. It came with the original OS so I upgraded that straight away to the latest.
Only think that confuses me right now is that I can't see the GUI for SampleTank when using VFX. All the other plugin's work perfectly.
I also can't even run the SampleTank DLL on my PC. I get a registration error and then a access violation, but there's no way to register it.
Any ideas ?.
Regards.

In the new version I'm still getting error mesages which direct to www.smproaudio.com/faq
But there is no directory where you can find f.e. "ERROR FUT519" !!!
Now I am again spending hours only to find out that the V-Machine and its VFX editor really are the worst pieces of software and hardware I ever owned. It works ok (but not great) with VB3 and Samplelord but that's it so far.... to get a further plugin working is simply impossible - at least for me.
There's another bug which really pisses me off. Each time VFX shuts down because of an error message I have to reboot my Windows XP. You CANNOT terminate the VFX process in the task manager. This is nothing but SLOPPY WORK of the VFX programmers!
I will soon give up with this piece of crap. Ever since I own the VMachine I am spending my time with successless programming instead of making music....
I also own a Nord Electro 3 which works like a charm and it communicates with it's PC editor/programmer like a charm. You can send programs and samples back and forth without a single error message and everything works as intended. This shows that it CAN BE DONE but obviously the SMPROAUDIO programmers must be declared incapable.

We are always going to have users which come up with issues which some people have and some don't, it is just the nature of software, multiple vendors, multiple operating systems in different languages etc etc, before every release the software goes out to Beta testers for at least 2 weeks and as we did not have any reports of this error at that stage then the update was released. In any case, we need to sort this out obviously and the programmers will. You can't compare a NORD Electro 3 (which is a great product in it's own right) to a V-Machine, Nord Electro is a DSP based Synth where you load in different parameters from a PC, and only NORD software, NORD DSP parameters. We are dealing here with 1000's of vendors, 1000's of plugins which not all are written in the same way.vuckmachine wrote:In the new version I'm still getting error mesages which direct to www.smproaudio.com/faq

I'm not having much look with VFX either. It screwed up my V-Machine today and I had to format the thing just to get it working again. It got caught in some sort of strange loop.
I pressed the Sync button 30 minutes ago to transfer a 30MB file and the software is saying it's syncing, but the V-Machine is just sitting idle with a Plugin loaded up on the screen. When I can get it to Sync, it's so slow, and holy cow I mean seriously slow.
I think for the most part the V-Machine itself is a robust little device, but the VFX app has some serious problems. I'm already repairing things using Note Pad. The learning curve for this device is off the scale. It's ok for me as I know my way around computers very well, but I couldn't ever recommend this device to my friends.

Hi, Sync via USB for large plugins (or any for the fact only if they are small plugins) is not really recommended, if you want to change parameters in an already made up preset then use the USB sync one preset at a time. As it says in the manual and on the FAQ Please use a USB stick to do this, it is very fast and is as simple as copying files form the PLUGS and BANKS directory of your PC to a stick.Sharp wrote:I'm not having much look with VFX either. The Machine as you say is very robust and will last for a long time as a very usefull device, the software is getting updated constantly as well as several tutorials.

Thanks VFXAU.
That's a much better way to do it.
I still have one problem that's preventing from doing anything on the V-Machine with my own sounds.
I have sample lord installed.
I copy my giga files to the C:\Program Files\SampleLordSounds
I load up VFX and I create a new Bank.
I select the samplelord plugin and I insert a sound from my directory above.
I click on SaveMulti and I save a Sampleload Bundle to ....
Admin\Appdata\Roaming\vfx\vmachine\plugs\Samplelord\Sounds
Now I name my bank and preset in VFX and hit save.
I repeat the steps above an add 2 more sounds to preset 2 and 3.
I "Export Machine" to the USB memory stick and I insert it into the V-Machine.
I select my first sound and load it, and it works.
However the other two won't, I get an error saying can't find file.
Any idea's
