If you use IMAP, things can get squirrely becuase OWD uses extended IMAP I think which is different than IP IMAP.

Hopefully Squids can confirm, but from their site it says the IP drums and Studio Profiles use the Extended I-MAP:

The newly updated Extended I-MAP layout has additional drums mapped to the outer keys, extending your creative playing possibilities and is featured in all newer Sonic Reality sound libraries and instrument plugins including:

I have layered OWD, IP and SSD pieces within Kontakt player and saved them as new multis.

Wow how long does that take to load?

Loading time depends, but in general adding an extra kick and snare to an existing mutli doesn't increase loading time by too much. What I usually do is load a multi I will use a majority of the pieces from, then I swap some out and add another kick and snare. That allows me to blend kick and snares sounds within the multi. I just started playing with this within the Kontakt player last week.

I was thinking that OWD had it's own extended IMAP, but I maybe wrong....

Hey, we've gone two pages without a preset posted I'd throw a site together for it, but I don't have all the kits (shut yer piehole, BERFAB, it is true I DON'T have them all, honest) and I'd really like to be able to test the presets before they were released to make sure all was legit.

Actually, stupid question time - if I want to share a preset from the IP/Kontakt Player do I keep the "absolute path" option checked? Doesn't sound like I should but just checking what the best options are for sharing.
