Last September when I first bought this unit, it was shipped with a faulty hard drive.

I contacted Muse and they quickly overnighted me a new one to the first show of our tour 6 week tour. Saved my ass.

Today, I went to turn on the receptor at soundcheck and won't go beyond the "initializing" screen. I hooked a monitor up to it, to see if there were any error messages, but it just shows a black screen. I've had this thing in a G-Tour shock rack.

Any ideas?

Cuz it was shipped with the IK Multimedia bundle. I have no clue why that would happen...but I did buy a 2 unit rack shockmount case like this

And so far it has been holding up pretty well. We've been on the road for three weeks now and I've only had one minor scare. I also turn my receptor off after soundcheck and back on right after we play. Fog cant be good for the inside of a computer, so turn it off to stop the intake fan from sucking in all the smog when you arent playing.........

Start the Receptor with F12 to see but I bet the drive is being checked upon startup, which can take a long time.

Also open up the receptor and check that the pci card in the slot on the left next to the power supply is firmly in place. My receptor wasnt booting up at all and I just pushed it back in (only slightly out of place) and it worked instantly.
