I have sample lord installed.
I copy my giga files to the C:\Program Files\SampleLordSounds

I load up VFX and I create a new Bank.
I select the samplelord plugin and I insert a sound from my directory above.
I click on SaveMulti and I save a Sampleload Bundle to ....
Admin\Appdata\Roaming\vfx\vmachine\plugs\Samplelord\Sounds
Now I name my bank and preset in VFX and hit save.

I repeat the steps above an add 2 more sounds to preset 2 and 3.

I "Export Machine" to the USB memory stick and I insert it into the V-Machine.

I select my first sound and load it, and it works.
However the other two won't, I get an error saying can't find file.

Any idea's

So all the sounds are in the exact same location?

If you look at the CHUNK FILES for each preset (use a text editor) you can see where exactly Sample Lord is trying to load the file from and the name of the file. Make sure these are correct (should be similar to preset 1 but with a different Sample Name).

Also you don't have to export the whole V-Machine, you could just copy the plugs and banks you want over to a stick.

Hi VFXAU.

No that doesn't help any.
The paths in the first chunk that works are identical to the others except for the file it's pointing to. All the file names are correct too.

Any other idea's ?.

Can you also post the contents of the second chunk file from one of your own samplelord banks so I can get a look inside. If I can understand what's going on here I can write my own program that will generate Banks and presets for Samplelord.

Never mind, I figured out what the problem was.
VFX is not working right when Vista's UAC is turned on. Turning it off makes a huge difference and VFX is actually quite stable then.

I'm not going to keep it on my Vista machine though because I'm not turning off UAC for one program. I'll just run it on an old XP laptop I have instead until the program matures.

yeeewwwww..... always the same......... very boring....

but the question is: why does it take so long synchronizing via usb? We all have hundreds of usb devices that pass way bigger files in few minutes or even seconds.

Why not so with the V-Machine?

Samplelord Le doesn't seem to work with the VFX update version! If you try to import Samplelord.dll from it's plugs directory to VFX, the dll file simply disappears! How weird is this!

Has anybody here Samplelord LE working with the new VFX version?

It works for me just uninstall and download the new version and reinstall le it will deposit it right into the plugs directoy. have it working on both xp and vista.

Just had a really long session with the V-Machine now that I have VFX working on an XP Machine. Credit where credit is due, the V-Machine is freaking awesome.

I have a 920MB Harp (yes 920 MB) running along side a reverb effect and I'm streaming the lot off a USB memory stick. Works like a dream and looking at the CPU usage the V-Machine is not even under pressure. ..!!!

Copied down the London Choir disk from Symphony of Voices too and a few others, all worked very well.

Seems Samplelord is the business on the V-Machine for sure. Can't say the same about some of the Virtual Synths I've tried. Some classics like Superwave P8 really kill the V-Machine.

I will certainly look forward to the CPU upgrade when it comes out, but for my main use which is sample playback streaming, right now the V-Machine is the bloody business.

Makes my AKAI S5000 completely redundant and then some.

If SM Pro Audio can just fix the VFX app, I might just get a V-Rack too, but not until VFX is working perfectly. In the studio I have no time for messing around with bugged software.

I would agree, it COULD BE a freaking awesome product if the programmers would get their job done properly. Still way too much SLOPPINESS.

Are any V-Machine owners using SONAR 8 bundled plugins? if you like any of the plugins that come with sonar8 and want to see support on the vmachine please let me know which of the plugins are your favourites.

Danny I like the "unstable plugin message" it should save us some time loading and experimenting. However I was just wondering if you could give us a breakdown on what makes a plugin unstable especially with simple "bare dll" plugins. Thanks!

Hi, I would like to know if the v-machine is right for me. I want to play truepianos (or pianoteq), b4, and an electric piano, like lounge lizard (not simultaneously). Can I do this with the v machine? I've heard that you can't run truepianos without the vmachine choking, but I understand things have changed with samplelord now?
