Hi!
I'm very interested in buying the Receptor. However, I mainly need it for a really, really good Pianosound (I have Synthogy Ivory 1.7, which I bought for the V-Machine (sold the V-Machine in the meantime as it is completely useless)). Apart from that, I am planning to run M-Tron Pro on in, a Clavinet-Plugin (ZD6) and two or three Synth-Plugins. My Questions:
- Does Ivory run stable without any Cracks or Pops on the old Receptor (Rev. B or C)?
- Does Ivory run at all on the Receptor? I've read that it doesn't since Ivory-Version 1.7...
- If it doesn't run: Are there Alternatives for a really good Pianosound that are compatible with the Receptor (Galaxy II etc.)?
Thanks!
Peter
Does Ivory 1.7 run on the Muse Receptor?

Hey, saw you over on GS. Haven't checked that discussion today, hope it is still a good one
Have you checked Plugorama for which version of Ivory is supported? I seem to remember something similar that 1.7 wasn't available Receptorized yet but can't recall 100% and don't know if that was something that would have changed by now.

Indeed, as buscemi says, Ivory 1.7 is not supported on Receptor yet. This is one of the prioritiy items for Muse, so it should be along sometime soon.
Also note, this version of Ivory is a big change from the previous, as it is the first Ivory version using iLok for anti-piracy (previous versions were using challenge/response codes).
I found myself in a situation (after upgrading my receptor, and trying to re-install Ivory) that if you install Ivory 1.7 on something like a DAW computer, and you wish to install Ivory (< 1.7) on your receptor, that you could no longer get the C/R codes automatically from Synthogy. I emailed this scenario, and explained to synthogy that the Receptor Ivory was for performance only (not used at the same time as the DAW), and they emailed back a response code to install Ivory 1.63 on my Receptor.
By the way, Ivory sounds and responds great on Receptor. Your tastes may vary, but I really like the Italian Grand; it has held up well in the mix at gigs.
Hope this helps, Regards,
Kevin L
