any sign of Zebrify or Uhbik X?

Yes, hehe... to tell you the truth, things like that often boil down to the motivation that's left over when other major construction areas get their final treatment. The update to Zebra 2.3 was horrible in that respect, as little niggles kept popping up over the course of weeks, when I thought it was finished. Most of these issues had to be addressed immediately and that time went poof instead of going into other areas such as collapsable folder structures... (or "favourites" or MIDI bank select or any of the other dozens of little construction areas)zvenx wrote:lol....well I can put a word in with the developer if you want it there too
Hence, hehe, I really *hope* that the coming months run well enough to give me the time and head space to implement all the improvements on the preset side

Pretty good. I had a hard time finding a crash source, but I think I got it. I still have to solve one weird mathematical problem for the Windows port (where MacOS X has the solution built-in). I also need the final implementation of the transient detection of Zebrify first before I can compile that in Uhbik-G. Zebrify is somewhat more demanding in that respect, but I don't want to have to keep separate code bases for this single dsp problem... also because a future version of Uhbik-G might add features that need the pitch detection.aplats wrote:I wonder how Uhbik G is coming along.

Wha? You mean Uhbik-G won't do diatonic shifting in its first incarnation?Urs wrote:Pretty good. I had a hard time finding a crash source, but I think I got it. What exactly is diatonic shifting?MitchK1989 wrote:You mean Uhbik-G won't do diatonic shifting in its first incarnation?

or google "diatonic shifting audio"Introduction
Diatonic Shifter is a real-time diatonic pitch shifting and microtuning Audio effect. Combining innovative features like scale independent transposition patterns, a robust pitch tracker and four full octaves of pitch adjustment, this effect packs a powerful punch for harmonizing, microtuning and transposing vocal and instrumental melodies.

That looks like an easy way to make something sound awful.

by diatonic shifting, I meant what is often referred to as "intelligent pitch shifting" where it sticks to a scale you choose (so that if I play a C in the key of C major shifting up a 3rd, I'd get a major third, but then if I play a B I'd get a minor third, so that both notes are in key... Something you can't do with fixed pitch shifting)

Ah... yeah... that might be an idea...MitchK1989 wrote:by diatonic shifting, I meant what is often referred to as "intelligent pitch shifting" where it sticks to a scale you choose (so that if I play a C in the key of C major shifting up a 3rd, I'd get a major third, but then if I play a B I'd get a minor third, so that both notes are in key... Yer..the direct path to the cosmic octave tuning..
anyway, that would be really cool for such a plugin i guess..
cheers
