I got mine Friday (May 1). It's a nice upgrade.
The only problem I had on installing was that Content #4 finished with over 2,000 errors. The log indicated that moving files from the Pending Imports folder to their correct locations was throwing errors because it couldn't overwrite existing files. I assume these new files were attempting to overwrite data I already had installed from Drumpacks I bought.
I changed the read-only attribute in the Data folder, tried the import again, and got no errors. I think I would have been OK if I had just left it alone, but all those errors in the log bothered me.
I'll post on their forums, and ask that they include a word about this possibility in their Installation instructions.
All of my previously installed content is available with no problems.
DC 3 is a nice upgrade with a lot of content, good instructions, and an easy authorization process. The improvement over the 2.5 installation is welcome. The GUI is much improved. It's easier and more intuitive, and I can audition content much more quickly now. And having it as a VSTi is great.
Well worth the upgrade fee.

Squids what do I have to do? Contact your customer support?

The DrumCore 3.0 are arriving here tomorrow and going out the door asap to you. We got some of the very first dealer shipments from Submersible so it was as fast as possible. You'll get the extra pack plus some other bonuses like coupons and other added value "thank yous" for ordering it from esoundz.
How come my order still says awaiting stock, when will my order be shipped please ?

The bonus packs I am hoping are on line before the end of next week. They're done, they just have to be built into products and we've been backed up.

Does this apply to preordering the v3 upgrade? Mine has arrived so I just wondered if I was supposed to get these bonuses/coupons.Squids wrote:The DrumCore 3.0 are arriving here tomorrow and going out the door asap to you. Your bonus KitPak is coming next week. Thanks for waiting! It's nice icing on the cake for a $50 upgrade!
So, how is everyone liking DrumCore 3? Working well for you? How do you compare it to working with DrumCore 2?

Hi Dave,
Drumcore 3 is working very well for me. The VSTi implementation is perfect in all my hosts. The diversity and quality of, what for me are, highly usable grooves is inspiring. It almost makes me forget to use JS2 or BFD2..
Cheers,
Gordon

Squids - see if you can use your influence to help speed up DC3 / KC 2 working in Cubase 5. Completely crashes C5. Others have the same issues (see drumcore forum) For 2 + months submermisble have said they are investigating it. Its semi annoying that a VST doesnt work properly in Cubase of all hosts.
Gordon, do you use C5 by chance?

Yup. Me too. Consistently crashes C5.
Actually, I've been working with the Submersible engineers for a couple of months now (!)helping to debug. They say that Steinberg holds the last piece of the puzzle, but I haven't been able to use Drumcore for awhile now.
Very frustrating.

I'm sure that will get sorted out but we'll use our influence as best we can... even though I am sure it is being done as fast as possible.
