Effectrix Latency When Sidechained in Logic

I'm using Logic 8.

If I have two audio tracks both playing the same drum loop, and track #2 has Effectrix as an effect, they are in perfect sync and it sounds like one drum loop being played twice as loud.

If I have one audio track with the drum loop, and a software instrument track with Effectrix as a AU Midi-Controlled Effect side-chained to track #1, I hear considerable latency between the versions of the drum loop playing.

Note that in both cases, Effectrix is completely devoid of any effects(the sequencer is empty).

Is this to be expected? I would love to be able to use midi-note pattern-keys to control my drum loop effects instead of bouncing them out all the time. But with the side-chained loop out of sync with the rest of the song it sounds horrible!

Thank you.

I should note that this doesn't happen with Artillery demo with the same setup... if this is a ploy to get me to purchase Artillery too... well, it's working :). But Effectrix should work too!

Audio damage BigSeq2

Hi beasticles,

Effectrix is not introducing any latency, so i would consider this a logic routing issue. Strange that it does not happen with Artillery.
Anyway i just tried it and couldn't reproduce it. If you have a logic song which clearly reproduce this, please send it to info@sugar-bytes.de
I'll have a look at it then.

Best,
Robert
