awesome thanks a ton lennard. the LD JULZ is lovely. what chords you can recommend.. sorry for this noobish questionLennard wrote:I've added LD Julz and KEY Deep Fifth to the online presets section. The key to these kind of sounds is playing the right chords by the way. There are already several presets in the factorybanks that could be used to create such sounds. In these presets I used the oscs to create the chords, but playing them yourself gives you much more freedom by playing different chords.bastiandl wrote:hi guys. sylenth1 is an dope snyth. lookin for more deep house presets in the manner of agnes, jimpster, milton jackson, manuel tur

Well, the LD Julz is a basic minor chord. You can see that I used 3 oscs to play the chord, osc A1 is the actual note, osc A2 is 3 notes up, and osc B1 is 7 notes up. So if you turn off osc A2 and B1 and play a minor C chord for example (C + D# + G) you get the same thing.bastiandl wrote:awesome thanks a ton lennard. the LD JULZ is lovely. what chords you can recommend.. sorry for this noobish question
For deep house sounds you may want to take a look at jazzy 7th and 9th chords. You can probably find enough examples on youtube, here's one for a start:
Then I'll leave this one up to you Robrob_lee wrote: i'll have a go tonight if lennard does'nt already do so before then..looks simple enough..

can anyone recreate two things from this song for me.. at 115 a drum element comes in it kinda sounds like a tom or a distorted kick... ive tried to tweak different kicks and different toms in sylenth and other plugs and cant quite get it..
the other is the woodblock or clave at 213 if someone can recreate that sounding one i think it all has to do with delay and reverb but i cant quite get it down. with that one what would be great too is some can make the exact sequence in that track and put it into the arp and make a patch

So I was playing with a demo of Nexus tonight when I saw a pad called "Airwave TranceSaws 1" which is obviously a sample of a supersaw.
With the little knowledge I have with programming synths, I cranked up Sylenth, stacked up all four oscs with 8 saws, detuned them all around the 4.50 - 4.90 regions, added some attack, release and reverb, and this is what I have.
Could someone please tell me where I'm going wrong? Sounds like perhaps the detuning is out for me or something like that.

I'm also using sylenth for about 8-9 months now, and i'm more and more making my own presets from scratch. Could Lennar or someone else help me with the following sounds.
Leads:
( the lead starting 2:24)
( 2 leads starting @ 4:06 the deep one and the faithless kind)
Basses:
(raw bassline starting @ 2:12)
(raw bassline starting @ 2:00)
I'm not asking to just make them all, but some tips in accomplishing these sound would be great!
For example the basslines has it something to do with the finetuning the osc. or the modulation wheel ?
Greetings,
Thom

I've uploaded LD Submerge for this one. I made it a bit different on purpose, because I like it better this wayThomV wrote:I'm also using sylenth for about 8-9 months now, and i'm more and more making my own presets from scratch. Could Lennar or someone else help me with the following sounds.

You can try ARP Lumberjack for this (also in the online presets section). Turn off the arp and use maybe a little less distortion.ThomV wrote: Basses:

No, I guess what you're after is the portamento that is used in both basslines. Both are also heavily sidechain compressed on the kick by the way.ThomV wrote: For example the basslines has it something to do with the finetuning the osc. or the modulation wheel ?
