Do you not like the TAL-Bassline? I think it's great.

Why not an accurate, non-aliasing Minimoog emulation?

Korg PS 3300 (pleeeease!)
Korg MS 50 / SQ 10 (as an addon to their fine MS 20, all of them inter-patchable of course, so maybe all three beauties in one VSTi)

Any other whishes?

Cheers,
Andreas
+1 here for the Korg PS3300! A VSTi emulation of this would be something really different from the rest of the pack, as this is a very rare synth with a really unique character. I have a PS3100 -- in short, it's a totally polyphonic synth with only one osc per voice, one filter per voice, one triple resonator, 2 EGs, 2 LFOs, S&H, chorus"ensemble" and a really extensive Patch Bay -- now, take all that, multiply it by three, add a final mixer and you have a PS3300!!! :)

Korg Poly-800

It's even used by Depeche now, they wouldn't have touched it when it was new though....

Just proper and reliable simulations...many of current programs are not accurate enough. You know..i got sick of having to make cliche used gear buys just because i can't find the exact sound in a vsti. Also, its time for a proper Oberheim vsti to pop up!!!

There is no big need for extreme ideas if we haven't got really good basic virtual instruments, that CAN compete with the old hardware. I know, there are some, but they are only a few and not the rule..
It's more fun to compute..

Rhodes Chroma (!!!)
Korg DSS-1
Waldorf Wave (proper!)
K2600, yes!
ELKA Synthex most definitely!

The AKAI AX80....

But probably for no other reason then it was my first synth back in the 80's

If we're going down that road, how about that synth that was made from a kit by a friend of a friend of mine, that wouldn't stay in tune for more than 5 seconds at a time, and was only ever successful in making a noise like a dying gibbon. You know the one...

what about a casio mt68

Image

this one one looks circuit bent, the knobs might be better sitting where the speaker is. You could make a circuit bent version too and maybe whith the piece of wood on iether side too. :D

Image

You could skip the auto-matic accompanyment side just keep the sound switches
(10 plus 1) in the middle, and add add an ASDR and lowpass filter like the
casio mt400 on the right. Here is a MT400.

just check out this very short Youtube vid on this one, might be a better choice? :D

So all in all we pretty much want all hardware synths as VSts, right ?
