Wow. 56 pages.

Looks cool. If it makes someone happy... more power to 'em. Of course that by itself (making someone else happy) will be enough to make some of those it makes happy tell others that their new happy toy makes the others happy toy look like a shit happy toy.

And then some people can't stand to see others happy with their new happy toy so they'll look for flaws in a happy toy that they don't even want and never did. The only motivation being to shoot holes in it to feel superior because their happy toy is the only happy toy that anyone should ever be happy about.

And then it starts... the real fun.:D
"Your mom's a crackhead and my mom is a supermodel."

"Yeah, but your dad is a gay hooker. My dad is a football player."

Oh so this is just an expansion for Reason users?

I've been to the Props site. I've watched the video. Okay. And? I don't really see the point in spending $150 replace Live's time stretching, but whoever buys this...well...

I don't know. I'm at a loss for words.

Maybe some people don't own Live or any product that time stretches at all? Come on guys... "We Are The World" was a song... not reality.

We (what we use) is not the world. :hihi:

It's just (yet another) product that some people won't have any interest in and some people will. I for one would never buy Reason... I don't like it and it never interested me. I don't like Pontiac's either.

But that's just me and it has nothing to do with the thousands who obviously don't feel that way.

I think we all should wish the Propellerheads much success and many sales.

At a loss for words? As if this product just makes no sense? There is a huge market for a native recording host for Reason where everything is integrated and you don't have to use Rewire. Also, not everyone has Live. I hate Live's workflow actually, so this is definitely something I am interested in.

I predict that this product is going to be massive. Most Reason users are going to buy it, I suppose. I know I would if I was a Reason user.

But I hate the "wow" video. :hihi: :hihi:

Actually this product does make sense to me. It screams, "Well we could have easily added this to Reason 5, but we could maximize our profits by creating a completely separate newbie product AND add a dongle to it without breaking our earlier commitment to never add a dongle to Reason".

Actually I don't see any point in arguing with anyone over Record since I damn sure won't be adding it to my arsenal. Don't feel threatened by my opinion because you're interested. I think others in this thread and the poll are saying a helluva more terrible things about Record and its "market" than I am.

150$ for:

multiple Reason Racks next to eachother
phenomenal SSL channel strip
extremely CPU efficient mixing and recording
audio and record functionality
cutting edge time stretching
two great Line6 amp emulations

Makes a lot of freakin sense to me!!

For the same price I could get 1 average Waves plugin. I guess that makes more sense to KVR-users cause it's a vst. :bang: :nutter: :idiot:

5 years for all this, why not just turn reason into a vsti and be through with it?

oh wait, they have to keep "stability" and "containment" to provide a "musicians" experience......but for no less that a few hundred bucks! most expensive feature request implementation EVAR!!!! :hihi:

i love reason for its self contained musical ability, but always hated rewire, and im not sure id want a daw that couldnt load vsts. sorry im already tainted i guess :D good luck to them lets see if/how this shakes up the market
i am me and i am free...k thx bai

Yeah, it probably doesn't speak to everyone's sense of humor... but I'm glad there's a music software company that even has a sense of humor. There's too much accounting-software type stiffness and seriousness going around in this business.

Most of the people in the video are Propellerheads or buddies of Propellerheads, and the 'flat' the guy wakes up in is actually a part of their office.

Not sure who the toothbrush belonged to though, or where it had been.

I tell you what, I'm getting interested in this for my band recording; it's something we could all use. I don't have to baffle my bandmates with Reaper's massive world functionality or Pro Tools. Essentially, they can just hit the record button and record their ideas - and I can mix it later on :hihi:

The demo tunes suck though. The only one that is mildly good is the hip-hop one.

Let's say that for whatever "reason" the Props decided not to support external MIDI devices. Okay, that's not unprecedented and an unfortunate trend we're seeing more and more. But what possible good is a tool like this without event-based sequencing, even if it could only be used to drive the Reason instruments and effects? Honestly, I just DON'T GET IT.
It's really pathetic.
Hey guys, The sequencer does do midi. It works just like reasons sequencer with audio and some more features added. It's audio and midi.
MIDI out?
Not sure about midi out. Up until now props have not done midi out. It does have midi in though. It can record midi into the sequencer and play it back on it's instruments or any reason instrument if you have reason installed also.
It has included instruments?

Yeah, I was trying to figure out the difference between what they announced and "adding audio-in to Reason". I think you got it.

When you purchase Record you no longer need to use Reason. Because all the regular Reason functionality and more still are available in Record itself.
That is only if you purchase Reason as well...

A new rompler. Plus all the Reason instruments are automatically there if it is installed on the computer (without opening Reason up).
