Receptor Remote Control problem with Receptor 2

I have two receptors:
- a Receptor 1 Pro Max ... which I will call Receptor1
- a Receptor 2 Pro Max ... which I will call Receptor2
I have installed the latest Receptor Remote Control (Version 1.3.20081204) on my PC. The problem is that I can open and view Receptor1 with no problem, but when I go to open Receptor2 I get the following message, "Connecting to Receptor2 Status: Protocol version negotiated"... and of course the Receptor Remote VNC Viewer does not pickup Receptor2. The funny thing is that it worked yesterday! i know my PC knows that Receptor2 is there because I can open the hard disk with no problem.
So... I have now removed and reinstalled "Receptor_Tools_1.3.20081204.exe" twice and rebooted my PC each time and I still get the same results. Now, when I try to view Receptor 2, I get the following message, "Receptor Remote Control is not properly installed and cannot be found. Would you like to search for it?"
Also, If I run Vncviewer directly, it doesn't recognize that Receptor2 exists! it only recognizes Receptor1.
Help... please?
Thanks,
Phil

Wow, I can't believe that no one on this site has encountered this problem!
Well, thank goodness for Muse Tech Support. They called me and we resolved the problem together. For anybody who is interested: the problem seems to be with the communication between Receptor Remote Control and the VNCViewer. The problem is not with the Receptor itself. For the moment, using the VNCviewer and supplying a password to the Receptor directly bypasses the problem. Kevin at Muse is going to research this problem and resolve it completely, but during the interim he got me up and running. In all my years in the music business and playing keyboards I have never experienced competent customer support like Muse provides to its customers. Thanks Kevin and Rick!

That's good to hear about tech support, glad you're up and running. Just wanted to ask why you have two? One mostly as a backup, and/or extra horsepower? Have you maxed out one. and if you have, what did you have running on it if I may ask.

Hi Raul,
I recently bought a Receptor 2 Pro Max and planned to move all my plugins from my Receptor Pro Max to the Receptor 2 Pro Max and then sell my Pro Max. The Receptor 2 Pro Max simply kicks butt. It is just taking me a little bit of time to make sure that I move everything correctly.
I really get my monies worth as I generally run:
Ivory
Trilogy
Atmosphere
LL3
B4II
Zebra
Z3Ta
Minimonsta
Stylus RMX
SIMULTANEOUSLY!
Now, I can add EWQLSO Gold and more samples using Kontakt 3.

Ah I see, Receptor 1. Thanks. I myself have to decide in the next day if I'm going this route...the decision is killing me. If it wasn't so damn expensive it would be a no-brainer, but as it is I'd probably have to give up upgrading my Mac Quad G5 to the new Octacore.
Anyway, don't wanna hijack the thread..though I guess the topic is closed! You wouldn't happen to be running Symphobia or Chris Hein Horns 2 are you?

Nope, neither. I will have to check out Symphobia! As far as horns go, I use my own samples I made about 15 years ago. they are the real thing. Recently, I have heard something really cool... it is by Stephen Lucato and Georgio Tomassini. It is called "Mr. Sax T" and "The Trumpet". They are just incredible and as soon as it runs on Receptor, I am going to get them both.Sergievsky wrote:Ah I see, Receptor 1. Thanks.
