Multisample weirness

OK this is a strange one... I was setting up a drumkit in MuSynth and on a hihat mustisample it pitches up any sample loaded from ONE DIRECTORY! If I load in kicks, snares, whatever from a different folder than it's fine, but any sample I load from this hat folder is up 3 octaves.

For each sample in MU.LAB can set a Root Key.
See the sample context menu -> Edit Properties.
When using samples in a multisample, then the sample's root key defines the root key for that sample zone, otherwise (i.e. if no root key is defined) it's the middle key of the sample zone that is regarded as the root key, i.e. the key at which the sample is played at original pitch.
When you drag 'n drop samples into the multisample editor, MU.LAB will look if the dropped sample names contain a key name e.g. "C4". If so then MU.LAB regards this to be the root key.
Does the above info help in clarifying what you experienced?

I was trying to find that! I could have swore I found it somewhere...
I'll try that thanks!
ok ya that was the problem, somehow the root key was mapped to A0, no idea why though, it's strange how it would only do that with samples from that folder.
Oh I have a suggestion for the zone editor: maybe you could add an option to the context menu to delete zone + delete from project, it would speed up the process of switching around and trying different sounds twice as fast.
thanks,
mike

I entered the same problem yesterday, funny.
I added the sample file "wood2.wav" and ended up with this pitch change when position was changed. I suppose it was of "d2" is part of the filename (I think this is not described in the documentation).
But how can I delete a root key ? Only deleting the text entry in the root key property field does not work. Renaming the file and reload it ?

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler!
