Maybe you could make some location recordings and post them as ambience loops or soundscaping?
:-o
I've already used such sounds in dark ambient tracks. :hihi:

Anyhow, best sound ever heard? Perhaps the sound of a woman's voice when she whispers in your ear...

Also, the sound of the wind blowing through the trees, and the chorus of crickets and other insects at night.

Resonant wood; y'know, things like marimbas, balofons etc. My loft ladder is pretty cool, lovely deep, woody ring when you tap the steps with your knuckle.

That deep 'thronggg' sound in the first Star Trek movie (actually a one-off instrument with 60' long springs or something)

Lil' kids giggling, natch.

Tapping the bottom of a mug of hot chocolate (from the inside with a spoon).

Steve Albinis guitar sound on 'Atomizer'.

Bob Moulds guitar sound on 'New Day Rising'

Rhodes piano, especially on a track like Portisheads 'Roads' (go on, tell me it's not a Rhodes... :))

That resonant LF pulsing bass (call it the 'theme song' of those monstrous robot machines) in Terminator Salvation.
