Ok well i bought a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter so I could record my guitar on my computer. I found this software and decided to try it. My problem is I can't seem to record using the 1/8" microphone jack in my computer. Is it even possible to record using that in this program? :help: Thanks

let's suppose your audio settings are ok. now do this: right click a rack's name and select 'monitor audio input'. play your guitar and you should hear it through the speakers. if you can't hear the guitar, then you should go to audio preferences and select proper audio inputs. anyway, once you achieve hearing your guitar through the speakers, make sure that the button left of the record button is switched on. it means that mulab will record audio data. you should also save the open project before recording, so that the audio files get saved in the proper folder. now press record and enjoy.

either way, i suggest you read the mulab docs. they are well written and will help you master all mulab's secrets in no time. click here to download the docs.

now... about recording the guitar through the microphone input. i suppose you have a soundblaster-like interface with asio4all drivers. that is no problem of course, but you will get better results if you buy a little device called a di box. they are cheap and will help you record your guitar on a cheap soundblaster interface through the line-in connector. it will sound better than the mic-in.

also make sure you use software amp and cabinet emulations to achieve a nice sound.
