There I was, with some hardstyle thing playing that made me want to destroy all humans, and Michael comes along and reminds me what a stupid idea that would be.mkastrup wrote:Looks like this thread could use a bumpy, so here is a litlle sequenced like thing from me. It's 2 Zebra patches, 1 ARP and 1 Ambient Pad fading in and out:

Funny though, i was in the middle of a big sampling project and was sooo fed up with it. I simply had to take a break away from it. Creating this little sequence did make me feel betterbillstei wrote:There I was, with some hardstyle thing playing that made me want to destroy all humans, and Michael comes along and reminds me what a stupid idea that would be.mkastrup wrote:Looks like this thread could use a bumpy, so here is a litlle sequenced like thing from me. There's a section in the Angels and Demons soundtrack that's only Zebra plus violin (played by Joshua Bell) for several minutes.
All synthetic voices and bells - including a complex clone of the one in St Peter's Square - in the movie are Zebra, as is a bunch of drones and chugging basses etc.. Called "Illuminati" in some countries, it comes to cinemas mid-May.
A few trailers: http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pict ... elsdemons/
Enjoy!

Was that because the Vatican wouldn't let Ron Howard use the real one?Howard wrote:including a complex clone of the one in St Peter's Square
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/05/0 ... 95377.html has a funny story about sneaking in a bunch of photographers as tourists to get at the Sistine Chapel . . .
Also, would Urs take a picture of that bell for dinosaur cross-grade promotion . . .

Btw. the film is fabulous! We went to a press screening last night. Really good suspense thriller, complements Zebra quite well!

How does it compare to the book?
I'm going to see this opening night, regardless of reviews, but was just curious if you had a comparison?

I havn't read the book, but I didn't like the DaVinci Code. This (Angels & Demons) is a whole different story, much more logical and portrayed in a much faster pace. From the press reaction right afterwards (from what we could gather anyway) they won't tear it apart.elxicano wrote:How does it compare to the book?

Yeah, different stories... I'm not sure if I'd recommend the book after watching the movie (I'll wait to see the movie now), but I definitely enjoyed reading it. Comparing books... I liked DaVinci Code better, but it was more suspenseful than DaVinci Code.
Cool! EIther way I'm anxious to watch this.
This seems to be a good "nerd" time in movie releases... Wolverine, Star Trek and now Angels and Demons!
