ZebraCM presets in OSX

On my previous Windows laptop ZebraCM opened with presets already loaded in its VST interface. However, when I try to install it on my new MacBook it loads with a blank patch only. The CM disk did not have an installer, instead it had a zip file with the .dll and .fxp files.

Am I putting the .fxp files in the wrong folder? I would rather not have load .fxp files individually using ableton live's browser, just to preview presets.

Or is this a hint that I should learn to program my own sounds? :)

Hi,

There are two places you can put presets. They are Local and User.

Local is /Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/ZebraCM
User is /Users/[your username]/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/ZebraCM

Since you've alraedy run ZCM the directories should already exist.

Good luck!

Works now. Thanks!

this is my problem too - i have those folders set up, but how do I actually start the program? the answer may embarrass me,but what should I click on to start it? it's not listed under applications (see my post "installing ZebraCM in Leopard")

OK, I just figured out my own answer. I can't access the presets even though I have created the right folders...

Help.

Zebra is a plugin, so just load it in a host application. Mac version of Reaper should be in the 0Sex version of /media/cdrom/Software/Mac Software/Library on the CM dvd
Cheers :) Check out the excellent randomizer script at the u-he website, pick a favourite preset, put the script and preset in their own folder, load the preset, then load the % randomizer. the result will likely be a nice variation of the one you like.
Seeeing what changed, and how the sound changed sure helps understand programming the synth. (the % randomizer mods by 20%, the full randomizer has less predictable results,
choice depending on your mood and mission.
Cheers :)

I'm having trouble getting the presets to be recognized by Zebra CM on my Intel machine. The preset navigation arrows don't work and the save button doesn't either despite putting the preset folder in the right place.

That's because of the wrapper... it kind of "stalls" ZebraCM's user interface on IntelMacs... (see other thread)

Damn.....I love that VI. Maybe while you consider giving it an upgrade I can try it in Live and rewire that to PT.
