Does anyone know if there has been any success using GVI (Giga Virtual Instrument) with the latest Receptors? GVI uses an Ilok protection device so in theory one would expect success??
I have a Receptor 2 Pro on order and would dearly love to use GVI if at all possible.
(I realise GVI has recently been discontinued, but Garritan is reportedly taking over the Giga product line)

More correctly, Garritan purchased the Giga assets -- i.e. the technology.mal7 wrote:(I realise GVI has recently been discontinued, but Garritan is reportedly taking over the Giga product line)

Given Garritan already has spent money on the Aria playback engine, most likely Garritan wants some of the GigaStudio sound shaping technology, not the GVI plugin format.
I would not expect Garritan to ever use the GVI engine or format.

Actually, GVI uses the Syncrosoft dongle. If they used Pace, it would already be working. We are definitely working on Syncrosoft, and the core code is actually in our shipping version of 1.8 software.mal7 wrote:Does anyone know if there has been any success using GVI (Giga Virtual Instrument) with the latest Receptors?
