It looks like they're not going to work on compatibility after all, and I wasted $125. I'm very disappointed. I'm thinking about trying to get my money back. :?
Yes, it works since I got the serial entered (in Live and Logic)
I hope Tiger support is still forthcoming... any official word on this guys?

I know it is a PITA, but maybe download the Live demo to try to get it authorized?... then maybe it will respond in DP?

Ooh! That's a good idea! I'll totally try that!

misterg, that totally worked! And Aether seems to work perfectly in live and OSX 10.4.x!

However, the UI still doesn't function in DP 6.02. Which sucks.

Andrew, can you chime in here with further info on DP compatibility and what's going on with it? DP appears to be the problem.

There is no issue with DP 6.x on X.5.x. It seems only to be an issue with some hosts (like DP but not others) on X.4.x.

As mentioned previously, our hands have been tried for a few weeks as Denis has been restructuring our private/internal plug-in SDK code base. This is to make things more efficient and prepare us for future updates and products. Unfortunately it is not wise or really even possible to go bug hunting while this is going on b/c it's a bit like stopping to look a patient's tonsils during an open heart surgery. ;-) i.e. we need to be sure nothing gets messed up while doing some extensive low level work.

The good news is this is about done now. So now we will explore issues like this one, identify if they still exist, and try to identify and fix their cause if so. Hopefully you understand, and we appreciate the patience.

BTW, we have just won the Editor's Choice Award, the Performance Award, and a 10/10 score on the review from Computer Music Mag in the UK!

This is in the current issue which shipped on June 02. I have not seen the physical copy yet myself, but apparently it is paraphrased here:

We have more reviews coming shortly as well.

We are also considering keeping the intro price of $249.95 as the permanent price to keep Aether within reach of a larger market. Thoughts? We are also intending to make some derivative variations of Aether to meet other various market segments and price points in the future too. More info on that on a later date.

Well deserved, congrats! :)

Congratulations on the good review, the product certainly deserves it because it sounds fabulous.

On authorizing... is Live the go-to app that seems to work best? And apparently there is a secret "sweet spot" that we need to use when authorizing? I've just been keying in the numbers, clicking on the button, and getting the thank you message and then all seems to work well, that is... until the next session.

Haven't had much luck on either XP (sevice pack 3) or Vista.

Will Live 7 do the trick? Another preferred app?
Available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

I saw only the regulary price :-o A bit expensive for a newcomer.

But if this introductory price will be the permanent price, it could be an interesting alternative to the other top reverbs (ArtsAcoustic, CSR, Breverb...).

Btw... Is your reverb using Opengl or DirectX? I had 2s a black screen after loading the plugin in Cubase.

Yay! Congrats. You fully deserve this. I'm still so much in love with Aether!!!

Sounds like a good idea to me. $349 is hm... quite much for hobbyists.

As long as these "derivative variations of Aether" has to do with sound I think all of us group-buy-buyers would appreciate discounts to buy all forthcoming brilliant releases from you. :D

Well, that is good news! I'm sure we all understand and want you to make Aether the best product it can be! After getting to play with Aether in Live a little today, I'm more eager than ever to start using it, however, given how amazing it sounds, I can be patient, too. :hihi:

Just my tow cents, keep the price the same as the intro price, that's about the price point of a lot of your competitors (IK, etc.)

Congrats on the award, and congrats on making the best algorithmic reverb around!

Hi, there is a huge problem when loading Aether into Max/MSP's vst~ object. Upon receiving a signal, Aether turns into a frightening distortion fest. This is on XP SP 3 and Max/MSP 5.0.7

Post

Any news on a coming update with some nice bugfixes? :)

Post

Hello Galbanum.

I just downloaded your demonstration reverb and it seems to work fine. The only problem I am encountering is the size. The GUI is larger than 800 X 600.

Is there a way to reduce the size so, I can see my controls on Wavelab?

Cheers!

Click on the 'Info'-button and click on 'Change skin' then choose 'Berlin small'. You have to restart/reload Aether though.

Congrats on the review! We Aether users already know it's a 10/10 before this, but congratulations!

I too would think that keeping the price of $249 would be a great opportunity for new users. Having used this more, I definitely think this is worth more than $249, but also think it'd be great if this could remain relatively affordable for a larger buying community than it would be for the $349 price... but that's just my opinion.

Assuming you mean "lite or LE" versions of Aether, I think even some current owners would be interested, possibly including myself as well.

Still enjoying this very much... Was in D.C. last week and wanted to say hello, but wasn't able to bring up the idea with my girl. Oh well... We will be back again, as D.C. is still my favorite US location.
