Kontakt 3 authorisation issue

Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to this forum...so I am wondering if any one can help ?

Basically I have just recently purchased a receptor pro jr second hand, but in good condition.
It looks like it has had Kontakt 3 previously installed on it, as I can select it from a mixer channel. But it doesn't show up in the uninstall plugin option...

I wanted to install my own copy of Kontakt 3 on to the receptor, and was worried that this might cause some problems...

So I contacted support regarding this but was advised to install over the top of the old version.
So I went ahead and installed my copy via direct install...problem is when I go to authorise it in service centre, it says all products are already authorised!
But my Kontakt is still running in demo mode with limited functionality!

I have contacted plugorama support again on this issue but I have not received any direct solutions to this problem, it is frustrating as I need to use the machine for some important projects...

Has any one here had a similar problem, or can offer a solution ? :help:

Cheers ppl

You shouldn't have had to re-install anything, that is a pity...oh well.

If you can run the NI Service Center, you can go to the 'Overview' tab where you will see all of your activations. You can then expand each authorization with 'Show Details', and this is where you can reset things for re-authorization. I just tried this on my Windows PC, but it should work the same on the Receptor. I deleted the authorization key for one of my NI products, and now it is in the red and needs to be authorized. This should work with deleting the serial number too (which is what you need to do anyway).

Warning: The NI Service Center online seems to be down right now, so you will not be able to authorize anything.

Hey JR,

Thanks for the reply...

Well when I go in to the service center on the receptor and look at my authorisations it doesn't show Kontakt 3 just FM7...that's why I am puzzled.
(FM7 is installed on there too)

I think the previous owner must have had some problems with the installation of Kontakt 3.
The reason I reintalled it originally was because the other version on there seemed unstable and didn't have a library either.

I just want to use K3 with my other already purchased compies of EWQL stuff & project sam libraries.

Do you think I need to edit the reg ? or is there any thing else I can do ?:help:

Native Instruments have come back to me saying that this is Muse Research issue rather than a Native Instruments one...lol

Crazy old world in computer land.:x

Cheers
