hi vojtech,
i've decided to dump all my other drum making software out the window and concentrate on moving forward with mdrummer. the software at present isn't even a tenth of the program that it's going to be but i have seen great improvements over the last six months. so please keep the updates coming.
top of my list:
1 - more random elements. generate buttons for style/feel/fill.

Thanks!! We'll try. You know there was no update for about 6 weeks I guess because we've been busy with the effects. But it seems that next version will have finally a reverb...
About your ideas - what you mean exactly? You mean something like loop generator in addition to rhythm generator?

i would like to be able to generate a new rhythm (randomly) within the song structure and a new fill (randomly) again from within the song structure menu.
ie if i press the generate rhythm button it would call one from the database. it would be nice if the rhythm was close enough to be able to select a variation of the rhythm. if i press the random fill button i could end up with a jungle fill playing in a latin rhythm.
cheers
hope it makes some kind of sense.

So you want Generate rhythm button in the Quick setup page, which would select random base rhythm, random base loop and random generator settings and generates the rhtyhm like that, right?

Bingo Vojtech!
plus random break/long break button.
having used jamstix, ezplayer and drumcore, the song structure panel in mdrummer is the main work area for me. nice and simple but just not enough features. maybe it could even have a whole screen?

Hmmm, well, definitely worth thinking about it
(in spite the fact that song structures was originally designed as kind of "feature for beginners", before they learn how to use MIDI commands. on the other hand I use it by myself too
