can MU.LAB's synths do mono?

Sure, just make their output mono.
For example using the panner in a rack.
Or if you wat you can create a MuSynth patch with a stereo splitter after the voice out and then connect both mono outs from the stereo splitter to the Audio Out. This will make it a pure mono patch

Or do you mean mono as in monosynth? I don't think any of the synths have a mono/legato mode right now but it might be possible setting something up using the Musynth?

I'm sorry yes I meant monophonic, and I am primarily concerned with the musynth, I love having an integrated modular powerhouse!
In the future there will be robots!

Simple:
Click a rack slot -> choose plugin from popup list.
Maybe this MU.LAB tutorial also helps:

mkay. that is what i figured. i get a runtime error whenever i click in that empty slot. is there a way to remedy this? also. VST host-wise, most are fine but some of the windows are bigger than others & some take up the whole screen & cannot be properly viewed. is there a way to make them smaller?
other than that. i am quite pleased. everything that i have tried that i needed works fine!!! thank you for your reply i appreciate it.

The size of a VST editor is defined by the VST plugin, not by the host.also. VST host-wise, most are fine but some of the windows are bigger than others & some take up the whole screen & cannot be properly viewed. is there a way to make them smaller?
MU.LAB cannot do anything about that.

I see you already plugged in 3 synths in a row.
Hope you know this doesn't make sense because a synth normally does not accept audio input. So a synth blocks the audio out from the synth above.
I also see that the cpu meter says "Overload". Any idea why? Did you play a lot of notes at the same time?
Could you find a repeatable pattern for how to get this "runtime error"?

if i understand your question correctly, the "repeatable pattern" is when i either click or right-click on an empty slot, i get the run time error.
