Hi;
I'm very new and hope I can ask a couple of basic questions:
a) I downloaded the Trail, but the EXE is from 2004. Isn't there a version 2 available? Where will I purchase version 2 from?
b) I'm planning to buy Yamaha KX49 Keyboard Controller which comes with CUBASE 4AI, does Peti work with this software and this version?
c) For Peti, which Keyboard Controller and software is recommnded?
Thank you in advance!
..Ben

Hello Ben,
so I checked that Keyboard and it seems very good, but it doesn't have aftertouch (see Pressure Sensivity at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_expression)
while not strictly necessary to play Peti, the aftertouch helps if you want to emulate accordion playing, that is changing the volume while keys are pressed.
Must be said though that aftertouch in MIDI controllers is not easy to master and alternatively you can use an expression pedal to do the very same thing.
Resuming if you like that Keyboard just get an extra pedal to control volume and you have all you need, or if you like the aftertouch idea you may check some Novation controllers.
CUBASE 4AI should be just fine with Peti, as almost any other VST or AU host
There is no version 2 of Peti yet, but the full version is not as old as the demo.
Thanks for asking,

Hi Luigi;
Thank you very much for the reply. You are 100% correct on the "Aftertouch" issue and it's importance to have that natural sound which affects the volume. I currently have a Harmonium and as you press down further, more air passes through the reed and produces stronger sound which can overall affect the mood of the melody. I looked at the Novation as well and seems like Roland has some nice keyboards with aftertouch.
When do anticipate version 2 to be out?
Once again, thank you for pointing out the good info.

Hi Luigi,
where can I download the latest version of Peti. I received the original V1.0 as an email-attachemnt from you and - also via email - a beta version (dateted 04.12.2006) for testing. But I am not sure that this is the latest.
Cheers, akj

You got the link now, (just for the others reading, that support has been done)
