Is it for sale? If so, how much? Thanks! I might download it myself. As a guitar player, I'm always intersted in Guitar type VSTs.

well not for sale currently, sorry, anyway if the interest would be high I may update the code and make a new build

I really like the possibility of the electric guitar feedback patches. If you made a guitar feedback machine, I'd be really very interested. For Example: PowerFX has a great tone. It sounds pretty authentic to me. A bit of modulation would make it sound perfect IMHO! The added realism of a guitar player rocking the note (vibrato) slightly!

There's another Company that make a guitar feedback machine but they are iLok only and have no plans to change their wicked ways. If you made just a VSTi Synth, dedicated to feedback, it would be great too!

In summary:

[01] VSTi Feedbacker
or
[02] VST Feedbacker

Either would be a great addition to the market place IMHO!

I'm not mad about Physical Modeling for guitar sounds generally. The technique is quite good for Acoustic/Nylon strings and short passages but I'd rather use a good sample Library for authenticty.

Those with good sounding FEEDBACKER potential IMHO:

Hard Rock
Try Harer
Old Rock
Stroke
W Feed
the Power one
New Age Theme
Keep That Going
Feedback Hall
Solo Lead 192
Power FX

I like the almost approaching feedback infinate sustain of some of the other presets like Ultra Grunge, though I don't like the underlying tone of the fake 'guitar' itself.

I suppose that ReFX Slayer 2, with its built in FEEDBACKER is the closest other model, having it's own dedicated FEEDBACK dial.

I could use a modelled feedback emulation layered with some real guitar samples. I could use it by itself. I could use it as a VST if that were possible. It's obviously technically possible but I'm no designer! :)

Thanks, as VST it would not be the same as in Abstract Guitar, it would be more like those screamer pedals,
in Abstract Guitar the feeback is sent to the string itself, you can't do that with samples or simple effect VST.

But I agree that the underlying tone is fake so far.

I have a hunch that physical modelling as it pertains to guitars is going to get a whole lot more interesting.

The time will come when the physical model will sound indistinguishable from the real thing, sure the time will come, and perhaps sooner than you might think. Until then there are plenty of great multi-GB RAM/HDD hogging sample libraries
