i download the Zebra 2 demo to try it and have some problems and need advice.

When I open Zebra2, The Zebra 2 Window is more Bigger than Zebra 2 Gui with
empty blank areas at right and down.

I can't resize the Zebra2 Gui. The two button at the top right are locked. Only the button "info" works, bring me patch information.

Can not assign MIDI learn values in any Zebra 2 buttons.

But i can hear sound from the patches.

I use Vista 64 and and Cubase 5.01 64 bits.

I send a mail to urs at u-he dot com but no answer in 20 days. This synth is awesome but after buy it, i ned to know if this are problems with 64 Bits OS and 64 bits Host with Zebra2 32 bits or is limitation with the demo version.

And if they are compatibility issues, there will be zebra2 version of 64-bit soon?

Thanks.

Zebra is only 32 bits at the moment.

I havn't received any email from you, or maybe it landed in a spam folder.

It's too late to go in depth right now (1am here), I'll try to come up with a more comprehensive answer tomorrow.

Cheers,

;) Urs

Thanks for reply Urs, but knowing that there is no 64bits version are bad news for me because of the instability of Cubase VSTBridge :(

I wait your response.

Best Regards.

I've planned to work on 64 Bit versions later this year, but I'm currently caught up in other areas (Zebra 2.5, Uhbik) hence can not say when.

The blank areas at right and bottom are due to sloppy host behaviour. I've worked around this on the Mac side for a particular host, so I can probably work around this on the Win side too.

I'm wondering about MIDI learn... can't you right-click a knob and select "MIDI learn" fromn the contextual menu? If you can, did you try to use the ModWheel for a quick test? - Maybe the control changes somehow don't reach Zebra or something...

Cheers,

;) Urs

Good news for the zebra2 64 bits¡¡

I can't assign any MIDI learn funtion to any knob in the demo mode, the contextual menu does not appear with right click mouse button.

I test ZebraV231Winstaller and Z2Win_050609 beta 2.3.3 with identical results, no contextual menu with right mouse button and button "look" locked

Regards.

No, i can't.....Any fix for this problem or way to solve it? Why i can not use menu contextual when press right button?

Quite a few people seem to be running Cubase 5 32 bit under Vista 64 bit with good success. Its a good compromise because full 64 bit wont be viable for a year or two.

This must eb a bug/flaw in the 32bit wrapper of Cubase then.

The good news is, I've started to modify my code to become compatible to 64bits. I can't say how long it takes to get there though. Can be days, can be weeks, can even be months if unextected problems occurr.

Is exactly what I think.
