I have also read in an old thread, that he programs a effect-bundle.
But this thread was so old like the skin-thread :D

So if Update with Skin or no skin is not really important, but some generell news or infos about updates would be good.

A Update with new features in the soundengine would be better than new skins, how rob said - skins make no sound ^^

but i think there can we long wait... alone the skin-function, december 2008 was the thread with 10 skins with are finished in the thread, now its end of juni and nothing happend, not really a great service :(

I think that KVR members were going through withdrawals last year as well.

Lennard is more than likely working hard on something good including the next updates for Sylenth.

If he has to answer every single email, phone call, text he will never get anything done and he hopefully has a life outside of music as well.
This last year I too have pined for new product and updates for nearly every soft synth that I own and no amount of pestering is going to get it done any quicker.
I am sure that these developers have realistic time frames for release.
After all its in there benefit to release product.

Do your research on a product meanwhile and let that influence your choice for purchase. 12 months ago I was hankering for Waldorf Largo and it went into overtime and guess what , I dont even want it now. In my opinion it is too expensive for just 128 presets and they sound like Micro Korg xl to my ears. And yes I have heard the demos.
I hope Rob Lee will do it some justice.

Cheers

Than he don't has to release something with ned a tpyical support if he don't really care about it.

Take a look on the LD HP, support -> link to kvr-subforum and email-adress. if you send some question on the supoort email, i get never an answer, BUT where i buy the sylenth at groupbuy and asked something via email, came the answer in 1-3 hours! whats looking not really good in the eyes of the users.

Support is support, and a very important point for a product.
and i dont think that he gets on a single day 100 emaisl on the support-email adress which eat all his time :D

I personally think it was a really really bad support from lennar digital. :?
If someone aks here something technical etc came only answers by users but not by the person which is the support(lennar). And for a support forum post he really not much in his forum. One time in a week? or less? :?

It's the reason why I'd never develop software to sell (even if I could be bothered after coding at work all day) in this way, and have great respect for the 'small' developers, because all that generally happens on forums is most people complaining about why they won't buy your plugin or a never-ending stream of requests that are essential to the welfare of the registered owners.

Whilst the internet is great for reaching a much wider audience etc., it also brings the belief to everyone that they should get instant satisfaction to their demands.

Sure, some developers like to engage with their patrons, but it should be seen as a bonus and not a requisite.

The Podium forum on Zynewave stands out as a great example of how things can work, and Urs manages to retain sanity in the u-he forum here for example (at leasy I think he does ) but I also fully understand why Lennard may not want to constantly be entertaining folk with new thoughts.

I'd rather have a great solid product (which Sylenth absolutely is) and only hear from the developer when there are actual problems, or new features ready to release, than a constant stream of developer talk without much quality to ever show for it.

Anyway, I feel better now :D

I remember when we were waiting for the Non-Synth Edit version to come and Lennard fell silent. I was just about to give up on it when *bam* the hand coded version was released. What I learned from that is if Lennard falls silent or seems to be ignoring the current topic don't panic. You never know, a new version could drop today out of the blue. I won't make the mistake of selling Lennard short again. I'll have patience this time around..............

Since when do you buy a synth for the presets?? I really, really don't get that all.

Some people don't have the time or ability to program their own patches so the presets a synth ships with are very important.
