I would like to get a sound like the pad at the beginning of "It will be a Good Day" by YES. It is a spacey, wavering sample-and-hold kind of thing going on I think.... but not sure how to attempt reproducing it.

Here it is, just plays within the first minute of the song, then fades away. It's between about 0:07 to 00:47 in the song:

That's not a sample-and-hold thing, try PD Airy Strings from the online presets section and play some chords with it.Examigan wrote:I would like to get a sound like the pad at the beginning of "It will be a Good Day" by YES. Has anyone programmed the brass preset from Europe's 'Final Countdown' for Sylenth yet?

Sounds excellent Lennard. Just a heads up though... when downloading in OSX the presets automatically get a .txt extension. I obviously tried renaming, but it just reverts back to .txt. I had to download through VMWare Fusion...

Would it be possible to create a preset for cymbals? There is a lot of percussion there, already, (kick, snare, shaker, hihat, etc.) and cymbals would be a great addition. Thanks!

If instead of clicking on the link, you simply right-click and select 'download saved file as' (this assumes you are using Safari) you get the .fxp file and it works fine.

I'm also having the same problem using Firefox on a PC. Even if I right click "save link as" it still saves it as a .txt file. I tried using another browser but whenever I go to Menu -> Check For Updates it reverts back to Firefox...djanthonyw wrote:Sounds excellent Lennard.
