I was just about to buy this synth, but I'm glad I found this thread. Sounds like this Lennard guy really is hard at work on a fix...that...or he has a really nasty coke habit and is laughing at the thought of all these people waiting over six months for a fix he never intends to release.

Don't let this thread fool you too much. If you have tried the demo and like the synth, my advice is you go and buy it ASAP. Lennard is highly respected developer and we know he is "one of the good guys".
Lennard is taking advice from Elvis "A little less conversation, a little more action please" But the action part needs a little more conversation I think

Lennar is fast as lightning when it comes to Preset requests and i guess he is busy working on a total new Gui design which takes some time.

It's not like Sylenth1 is leaking memory on normal operations; it's only if you close and re-open an instance. Personally I couldn't care less, if you open/close 10 times you'll lose 100 MB, even if I for some unthinkable reason would open/close it a 100 times, that's still only 1 GB (I have 8 ). But of course if you only have 2 GB, it can be irritating (but if you're on 2 GB nowadays, it might be a good idea to buy 2 more anyway, it's pretty much for free nowadays ($10/GB).

It's not like Sylenth1 is leaking memory on normal operations; it's only if you close and re-open an instance. I have to respectfully disagree with u there, I close synths n effects all the time, so this is normal operation for me. Also, the pc I'm using atm has only has 1gb of ram. I'm not taking my laptop to a computer store to upgrade its ram just to get 1 plugin to work properly.

I do see your problem, with only having 1 GB. Personally I would go crazy running a system with only 1 GB, Vista probably wont even run and XP will be slow as hell already, 1 GB just isn't enough nowadays to run a Microsoft OS without too many headaches. But yes, I do understand your frustration in this case a leak like this must be terribly frustrating.

Thanks for the validation. Actually 1gb of RAM is okay on XP for alot of old plugins inside FLS. I can happily load Sampletank with decent pianos, strings, etc & make music all day. Also, most synths & effects I can load without a problem, just have to watch for polyphony & bounce to wav when projects get really big. It's only if I try to load massive instruments in Kontakt that causes headaches. I plan to upgrade this - built for mobility - laptop for a proper rack based audio workstation, but I don't know exactly when.

I think 6 months waiting on my part (& other users too ftm) is being extremely patient for a bug fix. I couldn't care less abt extra skins, I like the current skin as it is, but this bug should have been fixed ages ago. (This last paragraph isn't directed at u, thespecialist, just my opinions)

To be honest, never. I just noticed the bug because of this thread and confirmed it some days ago. I have 4 GB of RAM so it would take some time for me to notice.
