That's no good deastman! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reproduce this one. I'll send you a debug version that should help me figure out what's going on.

I'm not sure if the latest version has been posted, but I figured I might as well follow up here. Xing has, indeed, fixed the problem I was experiencing. Awesome work!

There's a new version available. Let me know if I've broken anything.
Extreme DrumSynth
- Improved preset management.
- Fixed filters for smoother sweeps.
- Added a second oscillator.

Cool update, presets are handy. I'll have to see what the 2nd oscillator can do.

The cpu seems to be funky on my single core computer. Savihost has it at 14% but task manager says 100.

A second oscillator? Right on!
Personally, I'd take a slightly larger GUI if it meant being able to see both oscillators at the same time, but I realize that would be a lot of extra work.
Can't wait to see what kind of trouble I can get into with this version.

I'll see what I can do to bring the cpu down.RunBeerRun wrote:The cpu seems to be funky on my single core computer. Savihost has it at 14% but task manager says 100.
Are you getting audio dropouts as well, or just high cpu readings?
You might try to reduce the total number of layers on the pads. I used a lot of layers on some of the newer cymbals, and that can really drive up the cpu usage.

I may consider that in the long term.deastman wrote:Personally, I'd take a slightly larger GUI if it meant being able to see both oscillators at the same time, but I realize that would be a lot of extra work.

It occurs to me that the drum pad area could be much smaller and still convey the same information. Those cymbal graphics aren't buying you much in the way of functionality. Food for thought...xing wrote:I may consider that in the long term.deastman wrote:Personally, I'd take a slightly larger GUI if it meant being able to see both oscillators at the same time, but I realize that would be a lot of extra work.
I'll be hammering on the new release this weekend. I can't wait to try out some dual oscillator patches!

I haven't had any audio dropouts, no problems.

I've made some changes to reduce the cpu load.
Let me know if you still notice issues.

The latest update does great with cpu, on my single core it's half of what it was before.

There are some changes coming soon.xx JPRacer xx wrote:Any news?
I've added a step sequencer.
I've also added sound morphing capability to each instrument where you can crossfade between 4 different sounds on an xy pad. For example, on a high hat you could specify both a hit location (bell vs edge) and openness for each hit. This can be controlled using host automation or the new step sequencer.
Anything in particular you were looking for?
