so is sylenth 2 comming out anywhere in the near future or should i go out and buy another synth??? if you guys suggest to buy another synth any suggestions?? i literally use sylenth about 5 times in every production so would love to use the sylenth 2 when it comes out but in the meantime should i wait or should i use something else in my productions

I'd be very surprised to see a new LennarDigital product before spring next year. Why ? Cause I know that Lennard's been working hard on the upcoming Sylenth1 update, so he probably hasn't had much time investing in a complete new audio engine AND I know Lennard has spent over 2500 hours researching & developing the Sylenth v1.0 audio engine (and that's excluding the GUI part), so complex stuff like designing a new audio engine obviously costs a lot of time, especially for 1 man companies like his.

Anyway, the good news is that although there are no clues to its release date, there WILL be another LennarDigital product (and hopefully another and another and ...

) And of course, keep in mind that I'm assuming that Lennard hasn't worked on a new engine yet AND I don't know to what extend he can re-use parts of the current engine, so, a lot of speculation ...)

Why is everyone so keen on getting tons of new features to Sylenth1 ?? The only becessary update in the moment is fixing the memory leak which you don't even recognize when you have enough RAM. Besides that i love Sylenth1 like it is.

A stupid behavior of some people is that they want to put ALL features in EVERY synth which then sometimes messes up the whole stability or CPU load of a already perfectly working synth. Only new features i could think of are osc sync and/or real PWM for the OSCs.

I don't even understand the question. If you love it and use it all the time why on earth would you replace it for ?

reason i would replace it is even with tweaking sounds and making some of my own presets i can tell its a sylenth track... even sometimes listening to other artist i can hear its a sylenth made track thats why i would want to use something else while also using sylenth

You mean based on the presets ? There are literally tons of presets out there so that seems a bit weird. Also, it might be time to a start designing your own (or if you lack the skills, invest in learning how to)

Yes, get another synth, but keep sylenth1.

Sylenth1 does what it does amazingly, but it's not as versatile as many other synths out there. If it's all your using, I can see how how all the productions would be very sylenth-y.

Try something with a little more of a digital nature and other synthesis types besides VA like wavetable/FM/Additive etc. Zebra2,FM8,Absynth4,Alchemy... something like that would be a good addition.

Because of the crazy sale right now on Komplete 5, there are lots of NI synths going around for cheap. Absynth would be a goo d bet. It does granular, FM, wavtable, all kinds of stuff. Sylenth1 and Absynth 4 = Pretty damn good combo.

I use a pretty lot of Sylenth1 these days, but try to dilute it with other synths, like Wuskstation for one, Battery 3 (yeah it's percussion but still...) plus I use Sampletank 2 and SonikSynth 2 for other stuff. Also, there are tons of free files you can get to use with SFZ which can also help stretch the sound out.

I use what fits for the type of music I'm trying to create.
