I already opened support ticket but in the meantime want to ask if any of you encountered similar problem.
After uninstall of Komplete 5 I started Direct Install. When trying to run installer for Komplete 5 I am getting the following error message:
Receptor was unable to access this computer.
I have Vista Enterprise with file and folder sharing enabled. I found the following error in system log:
May 31 19:53:57 Receptor-0384 samba(pam_unix)[3384]: authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=samba ruser= rhost=192.168.254.254 user=nobody
May 31 19:54:04 Receptor-0384 rm-host: ReceptorXmlRpc.cpp::UnmountRemote[636]: Installation has failed due to an internal error. (error: no local path for 'x:/')

I've just bought Komplete 5 and encountered the same problem - I cannot install it !
I've tried two methods :
1. Open Direct Install, then insert the disk containing the Komplete 5 installer. If I click on "OK" nothing happens. Clicking "OK" several times also fails to produce anything.
2. I inserted the disk first and then opened Direct Install. I clicked on "Begin Installing" and a box appeared to "copy" the installer. The bottom left hand corner shows "Starting installer on Receptor" but nothing happens. I then found another box hidden by the main Direct Install window which has the message "Receptor was unable to access this computer, Please check the Helpdesk for further troubleshooting".
As my Receptor is networked to my PC and is recognised when I open Receptor Remote Control, I cannot see how it is unable to access my PC.
Has anyone else had similar problems ? Ciey - did you manage to install Komplete 5 with the help of Muse ?

Sorry to trouble you out there but I'd be really grateful for any help in installing Komplete 5. I have contacted Muse technical support and tried their various suggestions without success.
They suggested the following, which I have tried. I am still awaiting a response to my email of last week, asking for further suggestions:
1. I have turned off Windows Firewall
2. I have disabled all the settings on Norton Internet Security and also disabled any start up programs which may be associated with Norton Internet Security, which is loaded on my PC.
3. Norton Internet Security is already configured to "accept" Receptor as part of my network. As a result my Receptor can be "seen" when the Remote Control is opened; however Direct Install does not work.
4. I have enabled the Administrator account and logged off and then logged back in as administrator.
5. The combatibility tab has been set as "Windows xp service pack 2" combatibility mode.
Any further suggestions from Komplete 5 owners would be most welcome !
