That Zebra 2.5 skin pic on KVR is too much of a tease...

Nope. Because it wasn't updated yet. This is still in the planning phase.

But you can d/l the beta and try the "Renderer" parameter on the "more OSC" tabs. Option 1 gives you the same oscillator brightness as certain other popular synths. If you combine that with my promise to oversample the lowpass filters, then all that's in the way between hating Zebra rathe rthan loving it is psychological blockage (because there's no sound-wise excuse to love certain other softsynths more)

(while we're at it, I also discovered a new recipe/ingredient for snappy envelopes. I might throw that in as well, for those who don't want to tweak slope parameters).

I'm guessing this is something different than your spiffy trick to modulate the attack time of the env with the env itself?

TODO: Remove all lingering unjustifiable psychological hate blockage to Zebra synth, just let it go man, just chill.

That's also possible, but no, it isn't the main thing. It's merely about using a different approach to control voltages for each stage. While all my envelopes so far have been constant time, the new ones are constant rate. This allows for independent control of decay slope and sustain level. Meaning, when you up sustain you don't mess up the snap in the decay. In terms of the Distraction, we have to see if it's still possible to create a proper DX piano though
