Is there a special reason
why the mulab drum map does not match general midi specification ?
When loading a midi file it also would be fine
to have some instrument assignments automatically according GM, even if mulab instruments do not match all specified GM instruments exactly.
btw: Does anyone know why mostly imported midi files are seperated to different tracks (as expected, I assume one new track for each midi channel or might be each program change should create a new track),
but sometimes all the midi stuff is put into one track (even if in other midi software it is split into multiple tracks) ? Does it depend on the different versions of midi specification ?

I've taken note on the whishlist about including a GM compatible drumset.
Yes. It's about MIDI files type 0 and 1:Does anyone know why mostly imported midi files are seperated to different tracks (as expected, I assume one new track for each midi channel or might be each program change should create a new track),
